When tf does the Auburn hiatus begin?!?
no way they keep that top 5 class

Most top paying schools have likely allocated a majority of their funds. If Auburn offered enough to get them there in the first place, I’d guess only a few recruits will be lured away to schools with positions of need, and the money to match or raise.

Of course, I don’t have the in-depth knowledge of the current recruiting landscape, and just throwing thoughts.

We passed on Kyle Parker, then took Livingstone, so I'm not sure what you mean.

Livingstone will probably be in the rotation by his 3rd year here.

Where the participation chart guy for tracking red shirts? (sorry I can remember who kept track of that).

The staff likes Parker, he’s marked as participating in our non-Michigan OOC though he didn’t recorded any stats. It’s notable that Butler and Dubois DNP. I’m sure the staff is still planning on red shirting him but that’s still a great sign of his potential.

When Bond/Golden/Bolden all declare for the draft Parker will battling the incoming freshmen for a spot in the two deep after Cook, Moore, and Wingo.

You can teach a lot of things but you can’t teach a 6ft guy to be 6’3.

Hopefully he is a poor man's Jordan Shipley, and not a rich man's Kia Money.

Not just 6'3" but he runs a sub 11 sec 100m I believe. Not Wingo fast but not too much behind. If he can catch there's no reason that height with that speed shouldn't be productive.

I thought I saw Dubose in street clothes and an arm sling on the sideline on Saturday

I hope Livingstone has a fantastic career as a Horn - I'm sure we all do.

His profile lists a 100m time of ... 11.7.  (As a soph - no idea whether that was an official time, wind aided, or what.)  Given Wingo's 10.55, he would be pretty far behind   🙂 Even assuming improvement over time, official times of sub-10 seem VERY unlikely.

For reference, TJ Moore and Perry Thompson are 2024 WRs listed at 6'3".  They have times of 11.113/11.5 (Moore) and 11.1 (Thompson).

Moore is a 5 star, and Thompson, just outside 5-star territory.

Guys like Roy Williams had mid 10s, but ... yeah, different level of prospect.

If Livingstone uses his size/body control / hands to serve as a reliable red zone target and possession receiver, that would be an asset and a great start.  Any speed/quicks to create some separation, would be a bonus.

(As would his mellifluous voice and wizardry with a guitar ... allegedly.)

So now he is an inch shorter than Alan Jackson?

I think you'll find consensus here

Roy Williams ran a 10.30 at UT.  He ran a 10.18 at Odessa Permian that was wind-aided, but just barely over the cut-off for that designation.  He was an athletic freak.

Couple of prospect visit-related notes.

1) NELSON MCGUIRE (IOL)

This guy visited Auburn last weekend, Texas this weekend, and will be at A&M next weekend.  Also scheduled to visit Clemson (in Oct).

His bio below - started off on defense, played some tackle, throws shot put.

2) DAYLAN MCCUTCHEON (FROM FSU 247)

1) That one dude seems right regarding McCutcheon not being a take. I like the guy as a prospect, personally. I also liked Chase, who I think is headed to OU. DM is a back burner/slowplay for Banks and Sarkisian while they continue to target higher ranked guys committed elsewhere. I’m not going to be surprised if Jackson is a little irritated with this situation and cycle.

2) The McGuire guy is interesting on two fronts.

a) He’s redefining the term “Black Irish”, for sure.

b) They must see something they really like besides just his massive size that no doubt gets Flood more excited than it should.

Taking Livingstone and not taking McCutcheon would be a move.

Apparently the staff is very high on Livingstone moving forward

They’re running the guy through the program as fast as they can, I think. No redshirt, garbage minutes, no buzz.

Parker Livingstone came to Texas to do two things:

1) Slay as much pussy as quickly as possible.

2) Stand on the sidelines of Texas games and cheer on the non-JAGgers getting playing time and making plays.

This fucking guy is absolutely crushing it. Good for him.

Are we pursuing any of the top 2025 WRs other than the two Oregon commits? I haven't heard anything, but seems like Brown III's commitment to Florida could be vulnerable and would be a complementary body type/play style to our current commitments. Barring those guys, it seems like taking McCutcheon, who is a nice player in his own right and fits a need in the class, is the path of least resistance. They appear to love Kelshaun Johnson, but I imagine that is a situation where A&M would go jihad to make sure we don't take their only WR commit.

Comically,  Bobby was talking about the WR room and their NFL future and put jaggy in there as a future NFL player.... and mentioned Schooler.

I don't have the clip readily available but it was a week or two ago.

Guess he can't hit every take out of the park.

Y'all are wild about this Livingstone kid. I know y'all aren't really hating but I see this kid becoming the butt of more jokes and it seems premature.

Maybe he's the jaggiest jag to ever jag. Maybe he's just at Texas to pull trim and launch his country music career. His film certainly doesn't jump out to me, at least not enough to warrant the modest amount of hype he's gotten.

But he's also a true freshman who clearly had a longer developmental curve. I wasn't expecting to really see anything out of him this season. I'm just not ready to write him off yet considering that smart people think he'll be pretty good.

He also gave us one of the bigger chuckles we had at A&M's expense during the 2023 recruiting cycle. So there's that.
