A second Peach State 5-star has also been in contact with Texas per a source in Southeast Georgia. Top 10 ranked prospect overall in the country Elijah Griffin (Savannah, Ga./Savannah Christian) and his circle has also been in contact with Texas. Griffin and circle initiated the contact with Texas. Griffin is making his official visit to Georgia this weekend. The Bulldogs and Miami Hurricanes is where the decision is expected to come out of with USC third. Texas is working to get the 6-4.5, 300-pounder on campus prior to announcing a decision.

He's committing on Friday.

Probably would have been better for us if Oregon lost last night. I guess you could argue that Texas is developing DBs better than either Oregon or osu right now though.

It would be better if we realized there’s a lot more to recruiting than wins/losses and definitely not heavily influenced by the results of one game.

I think some kids absolutely get caught up in the hype and excitement when the school they’re visiting gets a win in a game like that. Throw a big payday in the mix and they either commit, start leaning that direction, or reaffirm their commitment.

This aged well.

Go eat a bag of dicks.

Apparently, "My expectation is that Wisner gets encouraged to go seek a larger role with a different program" didn't mean that our coaches would encourage Wisner to leave. Apparently.

My expectation is that many of our fans will continue to demonstrate they are complete morons.

I sat next to a guy who wanted Sarkisian to pull Ewers in the first quarter. I just acted like I couldn’t hear him.

I can't even imagine, and before one of you fucksticks volunteers to go get some screenshots, I do not even want to know what was said on the Football Board about Ewers during the game.

You’ve already read it…in the aggy screenshot thread.

Puppet meme.

(I wasn't saying to pull him, but I did say something about having a very capable backup available if that level of play continued)

Ugh. I know where the game thread is. I choose to avoid it. I’d think I was next to Newy but the cell service was too awful for him to post that from the game.

I wasn’t at the game and I still think Sark should have pulled Ewers if he came out and played poorly another series. He looked fucking awful. We won in spite of him and that won’t work this weekend.

I'm shocked the guy who hasn't played since 1st half of UTSA game about a month ago was rusty in a huge rivalry game. Very shocking....

I admire your devotion to the double down of benching the starting QB after a month layoff and a few poor series in a one score game. I’m sure the shitstorm wouldn’t have created any negative consequences.

Texas punted once after those first three series.

It kind of is considering he’s done the exact same thing before and looked great against Oklahoma.

Perhaps let’s have this discussion somewhere other than the recruiting thread? If only there was a place where we could post about this….

I realize after wandering for 10 years in the desert the old masochistic tendencies are hard to kick, but if you guys care to bitch about the OU game, please take it to the football thread.

I know it’s not busy right now but this could very well be the most important recruiting weekend for the program this year. We have a 5 star DL making a last minute visit, 2 silent commits (do they pop this weekend with a W?), and a top 5 match up in Austin with Gameday coming as well.

Plenty to talk about.

Perhaps take your stupidity back to the game threads where it belongs.

These “columns” drive me nuts. IT does the same thing. It’s just a list without any analysis. It wouldn’t kill Gerry to provide one sentence per recruit to summarize Texas’ chances.

if you were to watch any of the 15 or so livestreams that Gerry participates in each week, you'd know exactly where he thinks Texas stands with most of them.  It wouldn't kill you to do that.
