These “columns” drive me nuts. IT does the same thing. It’s just a list without any analysis. It wouldn’t kill Gerry to provide one sentence per recruit to summarize Texas’ chances.

I mean I wouldn't consider it a "column" I'd consider it more of a "list"

Puppet meme.

(I wasn't saying to pull him, but I did say something about having a very capable backup available if that level of play continued)

You also said that Tre Wisner was going to be encouraged to look around (which I am SURE you will refute) so your opinions are kind of shittier than assholes

What does Bill think of percentage list?

Texas leading for seven top prospects?

OnTexasFootball takes a look at prospects we believe the Longhorns lead for or have at least a 50-50 shot at headed into the huge visit weekend.

The list begins with a pair of 2025's that would impact Texas chances at signing a top 2 ranked recruiting class December 4.

Two 2025's that would ascend Texas to the No. 3 ranked class

Michael Terry III, ATH, San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights
OTF ranking: 4-star++
The OTF %: 75%

Javion Hilson, EDGE, Cocoa (Fla.) High
OTF ranking: 4-star++
The OTF %: Texas is considered the leader headed into the weekend unofficial visit for the Georgia game. 75%

2026 Elite Athlete

Jalen Lott, WR/CB, Frisco (Texas) Panther Creek
OTF ranking: 4-star++
The OTF %: 80%

2026 OL's trending to Texas

John Turntine III, OT, Fort Worth (Texas) North Crowley
OTF ranking: 5-star
The OTF %: 65%

Toa Katoa, IOL, Euless (Texas) Trinity
OTF ranking: 4-star+
The OTF %: At least 50-50.

Nicolas Robertson, IOL, Klein (Texas) High
OTF ranking: 4-star
The OTF %: 65%

1) Someone being wrong once doesn't make everything they post worthy of dismissal. Red Five has been around a hell of a lot longer than you have and he's a damned good poster.

2) I'm not even sure you've got the right poster in your comment.

I can't even imagine, and before one of you fucksticks volunteers to go get some screenshots, I do not even want to know what was said on the Football Board about Ewers during the game.

Yeah I made the mistake after it was over to think I could relive the game by venturing into that cesspool....

My expectation is that Wisner gets encouraged to go seek a larger role with a different program (he would be back in RB3 at absolute best duties with us next year if not lower on the depth chart) and we go get a speedier back to provide some variance to Gibson/Baxter in the Rb rotation.

Not @Red Five

It was @HateYouAndMyself

We are a high end CB away from having a legit 5*/high 4* at every defensive position for this class.

Gerry said he believes Jackson, Sharma, Barnes, and Jonah Williams are big game disruptors at the next level similar to Colin Simmons and Hill. Hilson would be another one if he comes here. Getting 4 or 5 of those dudes on defense in one class would take this to elite if the other pieces are solid.

Jesus mother of God.

Sir, being the water-headed motherfucker that I am, I can assure you that his arms are NOT bigger than my head. Nor is there a single person alive who can claim that distinction.

Realistic best case finish to get a little discussion going?

Hilson, Terry, a DT (Mbatchou/Wynn/Mathis/Simpson), a LB, a surprise CB

Questions:

  • we still recruiting any LBs other than Pettijohn? Haven't heard much about Faraimo or Owusu lately
  • would they take more than 1 DT if they want in?
  • Kelshaun Johnson coming in for Georgia is interesting considering we just landed McCutcheon. That's not a question, get over it.

I’ve been wondering the same, as I think our depth chart is thinner than a recruit might presume.  I also wonder if we like, but don’t love, all of those recruits, at least sufficient to commit the kind of NIL that would be needed.

It definitely seems like we’re going all out for Pettijohn with his visit this week and then the staff can circle back on the other guys if it’s not happening with Pettijohn.

I think the goal number remaining at DT is 2, but I doubt they take a second DT if it’s not one of the guys on their short list.

The staff still seems to be going after all of Lee, Brew, and Sanchez at CB.  I’m not sure if we take a CB if we miss on those three, unless there’s a late riser not currently on our board.
