When do defensive recruits stop decommiting from us to go to LSU?  Year three of Brian Kelly and the defense is still hot garbage.

Came here to ask the same. Their front seven is worth about as much as a wet paper sack.

I don't know, but LSU had upwards of 300 recruits at the Alabama game. Many five and four stars.

I wonder how Harlem Berry is feeling about his commitment.

That Death Valley was a fucking ghost town 5 minutes into the 4th quarter.

Watching Ole Miss destroy Georgia showed Kiffin has it right in FL recruiting. Pay the best out there and own the DL transfer portal. Price is high but return is off the charts.

Wasn’t that a former Longhorn sacking Beck 500 times yesterday?

Not sure how true it is, but the Cover 3 podcast was saying the reason LSU didn’t do much in the transfer portal this year is because they’re going heavy on the 2025 HS class to put talent around Bryce Underwood.

Yup. If Portnoy/Michigan can flip him, the house of cards collapses.

Just keep in mind the portal can work and it can kill you. FSU has proven that

Texas 2025 Targets: Yes, no or maybe

The Texas Longhorns are closing in on a fourth straight top 5 recruiting class. There is the decent possibility Texas could finish as a high as No. 3, with No. 2 an outside shot.

Texas currently has 22 commitments in the class with the class expected to reach 26 or 27, and could push to 28 if there is an unexpected flip.

Which prospects Texas can back to campus November 23 for the Kentucky game could be very impactful for the close of this class. With that said, OnTexasFootball takes a look at what's left in the latest edition of Yes, maybe or no.

Yes

Michael Terry II, ATH, San Antonio (Texas) Alamo Heights
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++
The recruitment: Texas leads Nebraska, and Oregon.

Graceson Littleton, CB/N, Wesley Chapel (Fla.) Wiregrass Ranch
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star+
The recruitment: Texas leads Michigan after official visits to both the last two weekends.

Javion Hilson, EDGE, Cocoa (Fla.) High
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++
The recruitment: Texas vs. Texas A&M with a decision December 4.

Maybe

Joseph Mbatchou, DL, Loganville (Ga.) Grayson
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star+
The recruitment: Texas fighting, Auburn, Georgia, USC, Tennessee and Florida

Kellen Wiley, LB, Seffner (Fla.) Armwood
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
The recruitment: Miami leads Texas, Florida and Maryland headed into Texas OV this weekend. Miami OV November 23-24.

Michael Fasusi, OT, Lewisville (Texas) High - Oklahoma commit
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++

Justus Terry, DL, Manchester (Ga.) High
OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star
The recruitment: Georgia the favorite over Texas, Alabama and Auburn

Dorian Brew, CB, Conroe (Texas) High - *Oregon
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++
The recruitment: A family decision to stay close to Houston would have to be the deciding factor.

No

Devin Sanchez, CB, Houston (Texas) North Shore - *Ohio State commit
OnTexasFootball ranking: 5-star
The recruitment: Texas will have to get Sanchez back on campus for the first time in well over a year.

Chace Sims, DL, Richmond (Texas) Randle - *Texas A&M commit
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star+
The recruitment: Texas will have to get Sims back on campus and spend time talking to Steve Sarkisian and Pete Kwiatkowski for this flip to become a realistic possibility.

Kevin Wynn, DL, Greensboro (Ga.) Greene County - *FSU commit
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star+
The recruitment: Georgia, USC and FSU the top 3. Has to get back to Texas November 23-24 with both parents to change to maybe.

Malcolm Simpson, DL, Hitchcock (Texas) High - *Nebraska commit
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star
The recruitment: Texas can win if they push. They haven't made that big push yet.

Madden Faraimo, LB, San Juan Capistrano (Calif.) JSerra Catholic
OnTexasFootball ranking: 4-star++
The recruitment: Notre Dame leads USC and Texas

Riley Pettijohn, LB, McKinney (Texas) High - *Ohio State commit

Kinda weird to say "as high as No. 3" when those 3 "Yes" guys alone put the composite at 308.47 on 247, which would've been good enough for 3rd the last few years.

Unless something has truly changed in the past couple of months, it’s either Terry or Hilson going public. My assumption is Terry, which will be awesome. They’re going to use him all over the place. WRINO, IMO.

Thank you CTJ, I always appreciate your insight when you drop by. Hope you've been doing well!

Sure but that's recruiting all the time. The point is it wouldn't take much more to land the no. 3 class, especially if your coach traditionally finishes out recruiting classes strong....

To me it should be "as high as no. 2 with an outside shot at no. 1".
