Why is this? Is it because of Goosby, Baker or Turntine?

Could be that goosby looks so good that he will leave after next year, so they can’t wait a year for turntine and need a top recruit this cycle to be ready in 2026.

The obvious answer is the meteoric rise of Cam Williams, no?

Unless something is coming totally out of left field, things are in good shape with all 3 you mentioned. You guys go immediately to the negative too quickly.

I could’ve sworn I read that on here somewhere. That Turntine would not want to be behind three other LTs.

I would be willing to bet that Turntine will likely be in the rotation or the first off the bench.

So there’s talent there, maybe he was having a bad day,...

If Elko would have been an OL in college, his body might make sense. But he played safety at Penn. He was an elite athlete (compared to the general population) and now he's a fat fuck. I'm only a few month younger than him, and if one of my college buddies went from college safety to 350lbs+ in the last two decades, I'd have a sit-down with him about his health. The only way his weight gain makes sense is if he's actively trying to turn into jabba the hut.

Are we worried about DL or no? Last year we were but we weren’t expecting the rise of Broughton, sorrel, collins who were already on the team. That one transfer ended up being good. Who do we have for next year already here? Can’t count on Mitchell. Y’all mentioned someone transferring. Has there been good reviews on January? I guess what I’m saying is, if we’re relying on the transfer portal and don’t really have any options on the team that’s not good. It’s okay to get a few in the portal but trying to replace everyone? Or maybe we have people and I’m just use to hearing collins, Broughton, sorrel making plays I forget who their subs are.

Yep. I've thought the same thing about him in the past. How the fuck do you eat your neck away in a decade? Especially when you your job is working in world class exercise facilities and access to nutritionists? Work in a salad, a mile on the treadmill, and a couple of sets every day, fatass.

They like January and Hills. Charles, should he come, is a high quality recruit. Outside of that, you're hoping Mitchell stays, they hang onto Sharma, then land a surprise recruit and land 3+ guys who are ready to play from the portal, including a difference maker.

From Georgia 247 mods below. They seem to view JTerry as a given and bizarrely mention Texas as creeping into the McLeod recruitment. I think they're mixing some things up, but who knows:

 Benjamin Wolk

Today is a day when a lot of things go down, so there's likely to be changes before I finalize my mock class late tonight. But here's the intel on what we've heard about the remaining position groups with ongoing intrigue:

-Running back: There has been some chatter about a potential third back, whether that be Jamarion Morrow or Anthony Rogers. Rogers has been trending to OSU since he decommitted from Alabama. Morrow took official visits to Georgia and A&M this fall. It's A&M who has the most buzz this late in the process coming off his visit there last weekend. There's been ongoing communication with Georgia, but the Aggies are who I predict to pull off that flip.

-Offensive line: I'm not anticipating an add here, but there are a few in-state OL who fit the mold that the Bulldogs are still speaking with in the final hours.

-Defensive line: This is where the most movement is going to be this week, and there are three names — Justus Terry, Kevin Wynn, Jeramiah McCloud. I continue to think this is a 2-out-of-3 situation. Terry doesn't decide until Friday, however (though the Dawgs might get answers before the general public), so that makes for an interesting debate on how to handle the other two. My sense is Georgia has put more recruiting energy into Wynn in the final stages. While McCloud has been viewed as a gimme for Georgia for weeks, Florida is still around and Texas has snuck in here late to keep it competitive. There's some optimism around Florida holding onto McCloud. I'm told this one has gotten more interesting than expected late. Wynn is a Georgia, FSU, SC battle. If it wasn't for Georgia being Georgia and the in-state pull for a top DL, I'd favor FSU holding on or an SC flip based on the intel I've gotten around Wynn's interests. That said, Georgia wants those big interior DL bodies and think that's why he's taken precedent over some of the other DL options Georgia offered late. It's too early too call who would be my second DL add beside Terry in the mock tonight.

-Linebacker: It's Tavion Wallace or Christian Gass. Wallace seems more likely based on his connection to the program he's committed and how often he visited Georgia games. Flipping Gass given his relationships there and the season Tennessee put forth with its defense makes that one a tough sell late.

-Defensive back: Everyone wants a big DB splash, whether that be Lagonza Hayward, DJ Pickett or Dijon Lee. I'm not likely to have any of those names in my final mock, however. If there's another DB name being kept quiet should they miss on all of them, I'm not aware of it at this time.

Spending the rest of the day getting answers for the mock and prepping for tomorrow.

I was thinking Goosby looked better than expected. Definitely made himself some money this weekend. I didn't think about Williams tbh because Ive had him slotted as a draft pick since spring

Isn’t Terry deciding Friday or am I misreading this post

Bwahaha.  They're now calling for a salary cap on Tiger Rant.  Dirty ass program cheated for years and had now lost its advantage

I've said this plenty on here but LSU was the first program to buy a championship in a big 3 sport in the NIL era.

I was more worried last year than I'll be this year. Have 4-5 EDGE players that will be completely fine. DT is more of a question mark, but we had two guys transfer in this year that have given us the snaps and run protection we need, so I am confident in getting at least one next year too. Still got plenty of development guys waiting to get their moment to shine like January and Mitchell. Them playing more as the season progresses gives me hope that they'll be ready for big minutes next year.

How fucking weird is it for a billionaire to be calling 17 year olds.

WSJ has an article today about the Ellisons and Bryce Underwood recruitment. They had direct calls with him and his fam. And Tom Brady started calling him multiple times a week. Crazy world.

Regarding MTerry, the problem for Oregon is ... well ... Oregon. They can't move Eugene any closer and they can't make the weather drier or warmer.

So what is Knight's offer? Double the money + and then free utilization of private jets? Move the family all there?

Whatever the case here, the Oregon offer is substantially bigger the Texas' on the money end. What's the kicker got to be to win that recruitment for the ducks and Knight? If they don't have that sorted, I assume Texas moves the needle to get closer and wins the effort.
