We've averaged barely 70 a game over the last four against some overmatched opponents.

UTRGV is terrible defensively. #319 in adjusted D per Kenpom. 

Gave up 104 to to Arizona, 84 to Texas Tech, 94 to Illinois, 83 to A&M Corpus, 80 to Northern Arizona, and 89 to Northern Arizona (I guess they've played them twice).

We have an exploitable weakness inside on defense at the moment… that’s gonna bite us in the ass against teams in the top 100 if Disu doesn’t get healthy soon … I’d also like to see Carr and askew shoot more and draw the foul when they get a step on their man driving instead of automatically kicking it out ….

On an unrelated note, I think Lowell and lance are perfect announcers for UTRGV… can we trade them for a couple cups of elote?

Reminder: UTRGV only has 6 scholarship players available for todays game.

It looked like we didn’t have a rebounder on the defensive side for the last two minutes. 

Getting out rebounded and out shot.  Rebounding has been iffy from the beginning of the season.  I think a lot of it has to do with giving up too many drives. .

Ramey has missed 3 FTs in this game and dropped about 4 passes.

No details.  He said something in tunnel.  Lance didn’t know what caused it other than maybe speculated he was frustrated.

These longhorn network announcers are an embarrassment. 

Galindo really thinks that technical was the turning point in this game. Texas finally decided to start defending is why this game shifted. 

 

Beard got his message across at the half. 

Beard is doing Jones, Cunningham and Ramey right.  

Texas should run this 3/4 court press more.

UTRGV can’t get a shot off. Easier to simply say we weren’t playing hard against a weaker opponent. Not pretend they aren’t a weak opponent.
