Both teams left points on the field. It all evened out in the end.

eh. one left 9 one left 3. i believe in going for it on fourth but not always on the red zone. you can tie that loss to those fourth downs. take points when playing sick offenses. they take those points over analytics they weren't in a position to lose the coin toss and lose the game without even putting it back on herbert's hamds.

i guess i get it but he only needed one field goal to win tonight,  not multiple touchdowns.

when though? Most of the go for it vs. field goal decisions were when the game was within a point. If they were up 6 with 5 minutes left in the 4th I’m sure he would have kicked a field goal.

They didn't really leave 9 points on the field though. One of those missed 4th downs led to a turnover at the 2 yard line which resulted in a touchdown. Mahomes may not turn the ball over at the 25 and if he does then LA may not score a TD. It's part of why teams are willing to get stuffed on the 1 yard line because it can really fuck over the opposing O.

Not saying I agree with every call just pointing out there's a bit more nuance than 3 × 3 = 9.

Donald parham expected to be released from hospital today, apparentjy it was “just” a concussion.

Perhaps that all it was, hopefully so. Still, a few of those in your career and you're probably CTE challenged for life. Brutal to see him all froze up like that.

NFL announces updated COVID-19 protocols

A large outbreak of positive COVID-19 tests around the league has led to changes in protocols for Week 15 as the NFL and NFL Players Association continue to discuss further modifications.

In a memo sent to all 32 teams, the league said that in-person meetings will not be allowed unless they are held outside or in practice bubbles large enough to allow for distancing between participants. All players, whether they are vaccinated or not, must wear masks when indoors at team facilities and food service in team facilities will shift to a grab-and-go model with no groups of players or staff allowed to dine together.

The new protocols also call for players on road trips to remain in the team hotel and they are no longer able to entertain visitors on the road. Gatherings of three or more members of an organization outside the team facilities while at home have also been prohibited and there are other limitations on what players can do socially.

Those protocols are similar to the ones used during the 2020 season, but the league has also announced a change to how vaccinated players and staff can return to the team before a 10-day isolation period is up. Two negative tests taken 24 hours apart was the standard in such cases, but the new protocols allow for asymptomatic individuals toa take two PCR tests, two Mesa tests, or one PCR and one Mesa test concurrently and return to work if they are negative or if the tests show a Cycle Threshold over 35.

Remember when the NFL came out and said this year would be different and there would be no postponing. And teams would have to forfeit. While saying anyone who is not vaccinated would be at fault. Lmao. Whoops. Yeah we were just kidding about that. We just wanted to strong arm as many players to get the shot as we could. While we let one of the star players in Rodgers openly mock the whole protocol and system in place and he gets a small slap on the wrist.

This whole thing is an fucking clown show.

Ughh.  Just let the vaccinated players play.

So you can test positive and play if you're vaccinated but not if you're unvaccinated? That's basically just advocating for no testing to occur at all and having there be a vax mandate.

It isn't just unvaccinated guys getting covid.

Yep, flaming clown car from day 1.

But yeah, totally the best time to extend the season an extra game and an extra week with no room for rescheduling, not to mention any concern for player safety.

Mahomes made a few really bad throws in this game. Weird.

He's been doing that all year. He makes a lot of shit throws. He's either developing some bad habits, or he had much better talent around him in previous years that allowed him to get away with more sloppy play.
