If their QB depth chart is in order and healthy, we beat them by 21.  If somebody is a little bit hobbled (a la BYU or UMD last year or any number of KSU teams)...they beat us by two touchdowns.  I could actually see this as a true neutral site game.  50% Maryland, 40% Texas, 10% homeless people from DuPont Circle who wander onto the Blue Line.

Yeah we’re not losing to them again. There’s no way. But getting 10.5 to an unproven team at home is a lot. I’d stay far away from this game.

Sorta on topic since many of you are making the trip to Landover for the game.  What time do y'all think this game will start?  I just don't see it as a primetime game.  I'm not very familiar with the Big 10 tv deal, though I know there's always two big 10 games on at 11:00a-CT.  I could see this game on the ESPN flagship.  Not much else on at night-Michigan at Notre Dame on NBC obviously.  Alabama v. Louisville at 8:00p on ABC.  I'm guessing Disney doesn't want a third game in there to compete with Alabama who they rarely get on their network (ABC).  I dunno.  I'm thinking it sits right in the afternoon 3:30p-ET as the marquee game.  Unless CBS has the rights to that Auburn/Washington game in which case I bet they put it there.

I thought for a moment Maryland/Big 10 tv guys would have it moved to Sunday afternoon where there's nothing on at all.  But I doubt UT agrees to stay on the road an extra day, though the Redskins are on the road the first week so the stadium prep wouldn't be the issue.  Disney doesn't really give a shit what we think anymore since the LHN is one of the few things they got the short end of the stick on in terms of media negotiation.

What is the line if their QB is in a knee brace?

Maryland by 17.  We will score early, like last year and herman will call off the dogs.  Like I said before, with herman as corch, we beat OU and USC, and lose to Kansas and Tulsa.  7-5 again......and again, then start the cycle all over with a new corch.

I’d take michigan in just about any game on their schedule until they show that harbaugh can’t make it work with shea patterson.  they’re my dark horse this season.

10 and a half on the road?  Oooffff...that's a lot.

I'm sure Herman will have us ready to play, and there is most certainly a revenge factor, but I'd have a hard time laying those points.

Wow, that's quite a game for the SEC.

Not really. It’s a Washington “home” game played in Atlanta...

I hope the coaches actually show a little respect for Maryland this year and don't have their heads in their asses the entire game. That game it felt like the coaching staff never took Maryland the least bit seriously and kept playing around with formations/poor play calling etc

I will be at the game (as I was last year) and I am hoping for a much different outcome.

All depends on how the offense is going to play IMO. Defense will be there, contrary to last year.

I would be inclined to take the over.

show me a loss

I think Texas wins handedly by at least 2 touchdowns...

Double digit home dogs tend to cover. Particularly well coached ones.

It seemed like every QB Maryland ran out there last year was covered in grease and could cut on a dime.

Who is their QB to start the year? Who is their backup? Will we be better at tackling those guys? I just felt like we never stopped them, they just occasionally let the drive end.

But that was our worst defensive game (I think) and we definitely improved against USC. (Though USC didn't have a QB like Maryland's QBs.)

And then three of them got hurt early in the season and UMD couldn't move the ball again, happily making that loss look even more more embarrassing than it already was.

Ridiculous. We still haven’t proved we can score consistently. That line will move anyway

Well, it was -9 before our spring game...

Do they get to say they play that school from Austin Peay and have the other SEC homers pretend that it's cool.  You don't call us out on playing no one and we won't call you out.

Its likely Georgia could go the entire regular season and only face one ranked team (Auburn).  Where they will then face Bama with a chance at the CFP. Unreal.
