Damn, 71 is just too young.

" ...has passed away after a battle with cancer, only recently discovered"

One day you're feeling ok, and the next you find out you have stage 4 cancer.  That's got to suck.

Happened to my mom this summer.  Went to the doctor for a stomach ache.  Turned out to be Stage 4 Pancreatic cancer.  She was gone 6 weeks later.
It's really crazy that we have no idea what's happening inside our bodies.

We had a close friend’s mom pass away similarly but from some really advanced stage mesothelioma.

She found out and was dead within like 7 days.

I’m sorry about your mom.

Beat me to it, disappointed in her politics but loved her in Cheers and several other roles.  RIP, Rebecca.

Wut?

My ex wife’s mother.  May of 2020, complained of lower back pain and a little stomach pain.  We thought the lower back pain may have been stones.  (She had them before)

Passed away in August of 2020.  No previous issues before.

Friend's wife was feeling bad and went to the doctor on Thursday, blood work came back bad... like real bad so she went to a specialist on Friday.  Diagnosed with acute leukemia on Saturday morning, dead Monday night.

48 year old in good health just up and gets bronchitis out of the blue between breakfast and lunch, collapses in the press box hours later, and is immediately surrounded by medics who for some reason don't put him in ambulance, but rather an Uber to hospital where he dies minutes later?  Uh...from the department of What the Fuck?

It's soccer. They probably thought he was faking it.

“It had gotten pretty bad in terms of like the tightness in my chest, tightness, pressure. Feeling pretty hairy, bad,” Wahl told co-host Chris Wittyngham in the episode. He added that he sought help at the medical clinic at the World Cup media center, believing he had bronchitis.

He was given cough syrup and ibuprofen, and felt better shortly afterward, he said.

I think we all know the answer.

Angelo Badalamenti, Twin Peaks Composer, Dead at 85

Quote

Angelo Badalamenti, the renowned composer known for his work on Twin Peaks and several other David Lynch projects, has died at the age of 85.

According to the fan site Welcome to Twin Peaks, several of Badalamenti’s family members confirmed his passing on Monday, December 12th.

The Brooklyn native first began working with Lynch after being brought on as a signing coach for Isabella Rossellini on the film Blue Velvet. Lynch eventually recruited Badalamenti to supervise the film’s entire soundtrack.

Badalamenti soon became Lynch’s go-to composer, creating the music for Twin Peaks, Lost Highway, and Mulholland Drive.

For his work on Twin Peaks, Badalamenti won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance in 1990.

Outside of his work with Lynch, Badalamenti scored films such as A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, and The Wicker Man. He also collaborated with David Bowie on a version of “A Foggy Day (in London Town)” for the Red Hot Organization’s George Gershwin tribute album in 1998.

Personally this is how I would want to go as opposed to suffering thru treatment for 18 months only to squeeze out another 2 months.

Yep, along with any motherfucker who has Dolly Parton on there.

And anyone who puts Clint Eastwood on there needs to be treated like Angel Eyes.
