Sorry about your loss(es)

Do you only buy when the stock market goes up? I need to know, surly needs to know. Are you a bad investor?

cause this is worse behavior than the idiot who tried to tell me on here his advisor knows how to time the market.

Lot of inflation talk today from the President and the White House. We’ll start with the typical nonsensical short circuit.

Psaki

Flashback to Yellen

Also as we discussed on the student loan forgiveness.

Yeah, but here, we know it was Biden who caused inflation because high inflation rates are a uniquely American problem.

Wait....what's that?  This just in....Joe Biden is NOT the president in the jillion other countries that are seeing the highest inflation rates they've seen in decades?  Well, golly jeepers, ain't that something?

inflation's primary cause is the 10% of global oil supply that OPEC agreed to cut in 2020.  when demand rebounded the supply has been slow to respond.

if it was caused by all the spending in 2020 you'd have seen it more in 2020, not in april of 2021 when cars started drying up.

This chart shows that our inflation rate started to spike almost exactly when Joe Biden took office.  What Biden polic(ies) do you think led to this spike?

How much did Biden’s admin’s proposals add to the money supply?  What % of the inflation from the chart you posted do you think is the direct result of that recent increased money supply?  Or are you just a clueless, disingenuous fuck?

The Trump led pandemic response was the initial inflationary impulse. It’s been aided by supply issues related to Covid and Ukraine. It was also helped by spending since Biden was elected. Janet Yellen herself referenced the American rescue Plan playing a part passed in March 2021. Thank you baby Jesus for Manchin shitting on Build Back Better. He was proven right that inflation was a concern. It’s only worsened since then.

Funny, I’ve been told multiple times that commodity prices have nothing to do with inflation on the inflation thread.

M2 money growth exploded with the pandemic response and has remained well above the pre 2020 trend since.  That has more to do with inflation than oil.

In summary, both Trump and Biden have been a part of the inflation we’re experiencing, but Biden is the one currently in power. He also advocated for extra spending that if passed would’ve exacerbated it. All while denying it was a problem until polling told him otherwise.

BBB would have been a popcorn fart on spending.  and much of it wouldn't be for years anyway.

Let’s just assume for a second that the America Rescue Plan (and any other moves Biden’s admin has made) has had an impact on inflation equal to: the pandemic supply disruptions, Trump/congress pandemic response in 2020, OPEC supply management, Ukraine war disruptions, and ALL OTHER FACTORS COMBINED.  That would put Biden responsible for…<4% inflation, which no one would be talking about.  It’s asinine to think that ARP is a factor equal to the pandemic alone, or oil supply alone, or increases to the money supply prior to 2021.  Here’s who to blame for current inflation, in order:

COVID

Putin

China

OPEC

The Federal Government 2000 to now.

The FEDs monetary policy is the main culprit in my opinion. Jerome Powell, along with Janet fucking Yellen are to blame the most by not raising interest rates sooner. Libs will say the FED is an independent regulator but it’s all bullshit. The White House uses the FED as an extension of the executive branch to regulate monetary policy through the treasury secretary. Interest rates need to be a fuckton higher than what they are now to curtail consumer spending.

Godamnit you are dense. Biden has done every single fucking thing correct since taking office. Every. Single. Thing.   Not a solitary ounce of this can be laid at his feet. And look, I’m not some Biden fuckboi like those Magats for Trump. I’ll call him out in a heartbeat, if he ever once did anything incorrect.  I used to be a Republican.
