genuinely curious what your "thats too much" point is in that sitation.

with the exception of him making it a ridic size that screams AA- KK ,what raise size could he have possibly made it that you would have actually folded pre?
If you are calling $60 more there, you are calling $80. You had position, so whats the give up level? $105, $110?

Probably $125 is my threshold, but common play has been $140. Having seen that for 6+ hours, his bet to $100 just feels like a pot builder.

One of the most entertaining head games I’ve ever seen. This is a $25 bomb pot. You can’t hear it, but Leo claims after he bets the flop that he hadn’t looked at his cards.

Leo is a blast. Showing the Kh was awesome

(Note, he’s the Seat 1 player we were all targeting on Saturday)

Got last night rolling with this lolwat hand

Bobby didn’t know how we were playing and he later told me that after this he knew his raises needed to be much bigger

+$700

Given it's only 66BBs effective, his 3bet size isn't HORRIBLE, but it's not good either. Hero almost has to call with any two. Villain needs to make it $110 to $125.

Took another nice pot from Bobby.

Not sure I can bet that river, but missed some value for sure

+$700 to get me to $3k stack

nh. you can't bet that river I don't think. Maybe a little larger on flop and turn, but well play. damn, nice Q high call previous hand even though he's holding two diamonds.

Biggest hand of night for me. Another bomb pot. Risky flop call, bingo on turn.

I was honestly so surprised by GKs river raise that I didn’t consider a raise size more callable than all-in. I probably missed out on another $750 maybe?

+$2k

Bah!! Such a great opportunity to get Hunter, easily the best player in the game and one of the top 5 in our room.

Before folding he says he KNOWS I’m bluffing, but he doesn’t want to pay 3 streets. Fuck!

I pretty much always cbet flopped sets. I certainly know the “let them catch something” line of thinking, but just hate missing that first street of value.

went to The Lodge today for the first time, on the advice of some buddies of mine, including TXSooner518. i had a great time, and essentially quadrupled my stack during the two hours i was there playing 1/2 NL. definitely looking forward to heading there again soon.

It’s gonna be bumping next week for sure with the week long Doug, Brad and Andrew activities.

We need a I’m from the internet signal.

Great find! He spends a ton of time beating me up about my A9s hand at the 2:30:00 mark, not liking my river check.

Seemed a pretty obvious play to me. I probably could have paused a bit rather than insta-checking

Also, apparently I’m old because I have some grey hair.

$50 double board PLO bomb pot

7 players, so $350 pot going to the flop:

AxAs4s
439 rainbow

Checks to me in UTG. I check with
AJTT rainbow. Checks to BTN who pots it. Though I only have the 4th nuts on top, the others (44, AK, AQ) are unlikely due to blockers. I’ve got nothing on the bottom, but let’s see another card! HJ joins us.

$1400 pot. 6x up top and 8x below now has the board as:

AxAs4s6x

4398r

Nothing changes on top for me, but bottom gives me an open ended straight draw. Checks to BTN who again pots it. I didn’t come this far to fold. I jam $2200. HJ folds. BTN calls. $5800 pot.

Red 7s on both boards leaves us with:

AxAs4s6x7x

43987r

BTN shows Ax8x8s5s.

On top, he also had trip Aces but with weaker kicker, and a flush draw.

On bottom, he had a gutter on flop, turned a set and failed to improve on river, while I hit my open ender.

SCOOP a massive pot! Net +$3200 is probably in top 3 profit hands for me ever

The Texas Card House (TCH) in Dallas mysteriously had its permit revoked by the city months after it was approved, but the room is still in operation and games were spread as of Friday evening.

PokerNews reached out to the Dallas City Attorney's Office for an explanation as to what violations the card room allegedly committed but we haven't yet received a response. We also contacted Ryan Crow, CEO for Texas Card House, and are awaiting a response. We'll share any information we're provided as soon as possible.

TCH issued the following statement on social media:

"As we understand the concern, we can assure you that we would honor any outstanding chips or balances for our members in the event that we are shut down. However, we feel strongly about our ability to overcome this battle and foresee this process taking a long time in the interim. One of the many perks of playing at TCH locations, we are bigger than just one location. Additionally, we back our product 100% and are committed to doing the right things by our players, staff, and community."

Follow the money.

This has the BS casinos across the river written all over it. What Dallas politocos are getting a handout from up north and making this happen?

Def a monster flop, but with 9/10 people seeing the flop, would sure prefer a rainbow board. Just a solid chance someone has 2p w/flush draw or set w/flush draw with that many people seeing flop.

That said, I haven't had time to watch stream and haven't played PLO bomb pots, so dunno how fast/loose people are willing to get it in.

Say, you open UTG with AK of spades, button 3-bets, you call and you're both deep.

Flop is A-9-2 rainbow. You check, he bets 1/3 pot, you call.

Turn is a 5, bringing a backdoor heart draw. Are you ever leading this turn?

if I am @TXSooner518 , I know for sure that flop nailed my opponent's only 2 ranges... either 9-2 sooted, or pocket 22.

either way.... I always fold top top on the turn when nothing completes.

nah my opp always has A5o or 55 there haha.

To the question, the parlay of "opponent actually has a heart draw" and "heart hits river" is far too remote to worry about leading here.

Any reads on button?

I’m 4betting pre A LOT in this specific situation.

As played, I’m never leading but I am check raising if his turn bet is 1/3rd pot or less

If he checks behind on turn, I’m clearly leading on the river in most cases but would be cautious about completed flush and straight draws that would check the turn

I don't hate 4-betting pre, and am basically always doing so in tourney, but when really deep in cash, it's pretty brutal to get 5-bet here, depending on reads on button obv.

What are we trying to accomplish with turn c/r? I think we never fold out better, and worse hands will get very nervous. If the idea is to charge draws, we are going to have to go big to avoid them calling profitably and then we are really isolating against hands we have beat and losing value against worst b/c they just fold. I know I'm hating someone going check-call, check-raise in this spot if I'm BTN holding AQ or whatever.  I prefer just check-call turn to keep villain's bluffs in and avoid getting massacred when he has 99 or whatever.

100% leading all rivers on checked turn, folding to river raise unless opp is maniac.

I like check-call then lead river if we are worried about that.  I think thinking we can go check-call, check-raise, bet and get called and win with one pair is fairly optimistic, esp after we opened UTG.

How many aces is a button 3b an UTG open with? AQ, sometimes AJs? They will sometimes fold them straight up to the turn c/r. Plus there are only two aces left in the deck, so less likely they have one. And how many hands that don't contain an ace is calling a turn c/r and losing to us?

Obv if button is either a spewtard who is relentlessly 3b pre without regard to position of the opener, OK, or if they are an insane fishcake or callbox who will just pay off a turn checkraise and river bet with like tens, carry on.

My point is you’re unlikely to get value on many rivers, whereas a lot of players will make a -ev call vs a “reasonably priced”CR on the turn in order to chase *something*. They’ll probably fold to a subsequent river bet, so at least you got a bit more value from the hand on the turn

Nothing worse than somebody at your table not knowing the first thing about poker and the dealer having to explain basic rules to him. Even worse when it's two people and one of them is either drunk or stoned so the dealer has to explain the rules multiple times. Holy shit. Probably the most unpleasant experience I've ever had playing poker in a casino. One of them had a huge stack so I stayed for a while hoping to bust him. Every hand they were in though took forever so I just left. Wasn't worth it.
