We had an intense but quick line of storms come through here in NW Travis.  About 15 minutes of the strongest stuff which was heavy rain and strong winds.  .5" of rain and probably still a little more but for the most part it's past and on its way to Austin and Round Rock.

Looks like I'll watch it pass just north of me in NB, per usual.

Radar has it coming straight for you, but it also might split around you.

Wowzers. I was in the garage packing for a hunting trip and closed the doors because it got super windy. Walked out back a little while later, and it was absolutely pouring. Over an inch, but I didn’t even hear it over my air pods since there wasn’t much thunder.

I'm slightly ashamed to admit I laughed when they announced a tornado warning for Jarrell.  Jeez, what is it about that town?

Also, WE NEED TO BE AWARE OF FIRE STATION WINDOWS THAT WERE BLOWN OUT NEAR JARRELL.  I’M NOWHERE NEAR JARRELL BUT CHANNEL 36 TV GUY SAID WE GOT TO BE CAREFUL ABOUT THEM. NOT SURE HOW FAR GLASS TRAVELS, BUT BE CAREFUL OUT THERE.

That's the other per usual. I just went out and staked down the Trampoline so now we'll get nothing for sure.

Just drove from Salt Traders RR back to NW Hills, 34 to 45 to MoPac. That was….hairy.
50+ mph winds easy. Shit visibility in blowing rain. High water in at least 5 spots.
And the lightning was freakish. Turned the sky green a coupla times for 5-10 seconds at a time.

When God and nature keeps sending a message, you should listen.  Just like New Orleans.

Same here. Considering the model runs they were showing yesterday, that's great. And with the wind and low humidity, all the flat surfaces are pretty much dry already.

Love that aggy admins let those students camp out for tickets knowing shit was going to be real

They'll put up wind and rain machines so it can be turdition moving forward.

They were going to make a list of everyone in line and send them home but for some reason that didn't work out

Due to the constraints of having children in a split custody situation, I bought in Jarrell last year. I've had 2 close calls in less than a year, and hoping that we don't have another tomorrow.

About 0.35 inches from the last go around, then another 0.35 inches last night in south Brazos County, and more on the way.  I'll take every drop we can get.  I've lost about a half dozen mature oaks, and I don't want to lose any more.
