Iowa State is on pace to score about 85.   That isn’t going to work for the Chris Beard blueprint.  As much as we bitch about the offense, turnovers and defense are the problems in this game.

Yeah, but turnovers are a part of offense...

Aterrio Morris better be pretty damn good from the jump.  Its hard to believe Texas can't get a fucking point guard.

AJ is the only thing that kept this from being a 25 point loss.

Win or lose -- If Texas keeps finding more offense in this 2nd half, it could go a long way for this team improving the rest of season.

I like the faster pace on offense in this 2nd half...

Beard needs to let Carr loose more often. This one on one scoring is what he's good at.

Also wtf are Licon and Benson doing in the game

They play D.

They move the ball quickly and decisively without turning it over. Our offensive problems are pretty simple

Longer possessions on offense offer more opportunities to lose the ball on a turnover.  I like watching the Horns playing faster and more aggressively on offense in this 2nd half today...

Carr is just not a very good shooter, but he offsets that with terrible shot selection.

He shot 38% FG last year 32% from 3, so yeah he was always more of a chucker. He's got some crafty one on one moves though

the stopped the bleeding from the first 5 min but not gonna matter.

Now we learn about heart. Hopefully these players don’t have the “ballgame” mentality of greenspoint.

I agree with you and I don’t like the slow pace offenses in general but I don’t know that we have the shooters or ball handlers to try to play up tempo regularly.

Also the number of step in/under charges/blocks that ISU tries is ridiculous and exactly why that rule needs to change. Buncha guys not even trying to defend and endangering players

Carr was having a pretty good game at 4 of 7 from the floor, so he missed 4 more in a row to prove the success was just small sample size.

Edit: 5 in a row

I don't ever expect them to stop playing hard.  sometimes you make a few too many mistakes.

Not saying up tempo, just get into their offense more quickly each possession -- too many late shots as the shot clock running down...
