She was a double whammy for Texas. Went to OU and immediately became a star, and took Billy Bowman with her. What a kick in the nuts.

True that. It hurt

I’m tired of listening to these announcers suck the Gasso family’s collective sick.

Teams need to step up and make it interesting for her, she has to be bored.  Saban and Geno have competition now, it’s not as assumed UConn or Bama will win it all.

Small ball isn't working against Trautwein. She's given up 40 walks in 109 innings pitched and only 1 hit per about 10 batters. The difference between Texas and OU is one team can hit for power and the other can't.

Our best path to victory in this game was for Dolcini to hold OU to 3 or 4 runs with Texas hitting a couple HRs.

blOU worked a lot more deeper counts, and Dolcini became fatigued and made a few poor pitches.  It's so infuriating watching a Texas hitter swing on a 1-0 count and a runner on trailing 6-1.  If you make Trautwein throw more pitches, she's gonna make more mistakes.

The approach by Texas hitters today have shown their lack of experience of how to win in big games against blOU.  The way blOU is pitching today, Texas can score 5-7 runs if they would just be more patient.

OU has 9 players from Calif, 4 from Ok., and only 2 from Texas.

Yeah, I have a sense that Gasso is deep with whatever the equivalent of the "street agent" game is for softball. She gets a lot of great players who would seem to be a natural fit for UCLA, the Arizona schools, UW, or Oregon.

The other thing is that Gasso outwardly pushes is religion. You'll see that in her post-games frequently.

Texas is just out talented.

OU has one of the best lineups ever and Texas has a good lineup. Really not much else to it. This was a great step for Texas but if you want to get to this level you have to get talent like OU.

Stree agents don’t really happen in softball, but travel ball coaches do help steer their players to certain schools. Gasso has a great relationship with the PGF tournament and those teams that play there.

Would be interesting to see any NIL comparisons.  White needs to shake some donor branches.

Getting back to the WCWS was a good step. 3 straight supers and a WCWS is better than anything we’ve ever done without someone named Cat

It’s not just NIL at OU. Their budget for softball is almost double that of other schools. Great facilities, highest paid coach, and a winning tradition also helps bring in the best players every year

Getting a new stadium too? McCombs could use a facelift

Softball was an afterthought at UT when Connie was here. Things are moving in the right direction now, and I trust that White is the guy to get us there. It won’t get easier when we move conferences

Their stacking awesome classes now and having quality players transfer out. The Bama-football comparison is apt. Makes me wonder if there is another draw.

blOU not playing that well today so far, but Texas just not taking advantage of opportunities...

blOU SUCKS !!!

Lol, Trautwein is doing what she always does and the OU lineup is doing what they always do by hitting for power.

Texas could probably work the counts a little more but the idea "Texas is not taking advantage of opportunities" is funny. OU is just damn good and better than us.

Fuck it. Our team is fun to watch, has heart and it sucks they live in the shadows of other programs.

Lets face these future Casino workers again and then kick their asses.

We wouldn’t see them again until the champ series. If OSU wins tonight, gotta get through them after Arizona. The two teams we struggled with all year. 1-7

Crazier things have happened. Keep the faith man until the final out. I say this as a Red Sox fan. 2004 baby!

Lol... blOU has given Texas chances today.  This was a winnable game if Texas played a lot better.

Yeah blOU is good, but their pitcher has not pitched that well today...

And that is what we need to do - recruit Calif which has overall superior talent.    Gasso is from Calif,  many connections.

We never stood a chance with Coleman vs OU.    She is from The Colony, Mom is a high school coach and Dad is a travel ball coach. (they were, not sure if active)     All those kids from North Dallas have been OU brainwashed.   Even aggy and Baylor have written off North Dallas to concentrate on Houston with us.  Tech gets a couple of leftovers.

But hopefully this CWS appearance will be the beginning.

Edit:  Let's hope OKSt can win this WCWS if we don't.

So Trautwein drank the north Texas kool-aid from her time at UNT?

Yeah blOU is good, but their pitcher has not pitched that well today...

To beat OU it would take a nearly perfect game from Texas.

OU has a substantially better lineup and pitching is slight advantage for OU with Trautwein over Dolcini. It has nothing to do with coaching, playing better, different approach, etc. OU just has lot more talent than we do currently.

This was a great step for Texas but reality is nobody in the country is beating this OU team until they get the same level of talent.
