I clicked on an email that said something like Client 7645 Moderna Vaccine. It turns out the email came from China so I deleted it. My email system doesn't load pictures automatically. Can a computer pick up a virus just by opening the email or does it usually require clicking on some content in the body? Just curious as much as anything.

Porn site huh

Nah, no site actually: Just an email. I know it is super common for people at large companies to open shit that they shouldn't and cause problems for the whole corporation. But I thought the problem came from clicking links rather than just opening the email. Since I'm not an IT guy, I figured that it was worthwhile to ask.

A guy at work last month opened a phishing email by accident, it linked to an external source but he didn’t click it and deleted it immediately. We thought everything was fine. He was dead less than 24 hours later.

Sounds like the guy who watched some weird ass video who was killed like 7 days after viewing it.
