I still can't believe in this day and age Robstown has not been forced to change the "Cottonpickers" moniker.

I don’t think it has anything to do with slavery.  I’m no expert on the situation but I think it’s a Hispanic community and it was built on picking cotton or something and they have a lot of pride about it.  they don’t want to change the name.  and if they picked the cotton and they want to be called the cottonpickers I say more power to them.
