that’s unamerican

What's even more unamerican is the fucking ketchup on the hot dog.  Fucking Texans will put ketchup on anything and call it Lone Star cuisine.  Chicken, brisket, hot dogs...what the fuck?  Don't get me started on mayo.

EZ. Crabs and shrimps.

My wife loves crab and shrimp, but shellfish in general is a big meh for me.

You'd get rid of both of your wife's favorites? That seems really shellfish.

(I'm really sorry. I'm going to go sit down and think about how I let my life get to this point)

Lame joke thread is that way ------> but fantastic punchline nonetheless

My dad (not a Texan) puts ketchup on his scrambled eggs.

That's really not that weird.  My girls do it.  It's not that far off from salsa which is what I put on my eggs.  Or if I'm traveling in some shithole and eat at the local diner/hotel breakfast cafe---whatever spicy tomato-based jarred thing they got going on.  No harm in that.  I just don't understand it on hot dogs.  I guess i never will.  Same thing with mayo on a burger.  I dunno, I get older, the world gets weirder.

A Fng “true Texan” will put some kind of Chipotle, salsa, or at least Tabasco on anything, prior to even tasting it! Or at least that’s me! Which pisses my wife off, which I just shake my head and say that’s it’s just my mental defect.

Hook’em!!!

^ My in -laws, god bless 'em, will look at me baffled when I just start pouring salsa onto breakfast (eggs, hashed browns, sausage/bacon, etc.).  Just how I roll.  Not an insult to the cook, just adding flavor to a tasteless breakfast.  But I don't say a fucking word when I make dinner and they empty out the fucking salt shaker onto the well done wallet/steak I grilled for them and then douse it in A1 or ketchup before ever taking a bite.  Sodium is a preservative, maybe a small portion of an overall dry rub, it wasn't meant as a crutch for people like their cooked meats to make a squeegee sound as they chew it.
