random thinking this morning: i predict a female president will feel a need to overcorrect on tough guy / foreign policy image. kamala is smart enough to do that by telling a bunch of nato folks we want orders on our desk for f-15s by the end of the day.  this could really be excellent.

Kamala is exactly who Putin did not want. I could see her being more aggressive than any man who has ever held the office. I love this move so much.

She's dealt with gangsters before.

This AFU foray into the Kursk Oblast in Russia is huge:

2 brigades is probably (depending on AFU org) 10,000-15,000 troops!

OSINT claims the objective is the Kursk Nuclear power plant...

Depending on the goal, this thrust, if it continues,
>will pull Russian forces into Kursk, and away from other parts of the fight.
>cut vital RR connections for supplies to Russian troops on the Kharkiv front
>grab Russian land for negotiations to end war
>destroy Russian equipment/personnel/infrastructure
>force redeployment of limited Russian resources to full border

Wouldn’t that be something?  Fucking Prigozhin could’ve done it with one ragtag group of mercenaries….

Russia has always won in the past by taking advantage of the long supply lines needed by invaders. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here.

Kursk seems like an ambitious but achievable goal right now.

Hey, man, you really ought to head over to the main thread in DT and join in the discussion; it's a very pro-Ukraine thread that moves pretty fast when things are hopping. You'll probably need to go back 3-4 pages, though, to get up-to-date from yesterday and today. You'd be most welcome over there.

Personally, I tend to reserve my posting in this thread to talk shit about asshole Americans/Euros who don't support Ukraine in this war.
