Back line has done same good identification/business:

Robertson - £10? (from a relegated Hull)

VVD - £75

Matip - Free (Germany)

Gomez - £3.5 (from a low level Charlton)

TAA - Free (academy

Lovren ~ £20

I hope he finds a job in the EPL. It's more fun with him around.

I wonder if Arsenal bombs out of Europa and loses the CL spot would they sack Emery and take a run at Mou? The collapse they just did was really bad given they had arguably the easiest path to 4th.

I’ll take my crow well done on Matip. Dude had been a monster. He and VvD seem great together and are so dominant in the air.

He's really come on in the 2nd half of the season. Playing next to Big Virg helps too.

So who are we rooting for in Spurs/Ajax (I know we don't care, just curious)?

I’m rooting for lots of goals. Ajax would feel like a proper European final but I’ve quite a few friends that are big Spurs supporters.

With Gomez and Matip's injury history we need to sign a 4th. I wonder what they're thinking as far as quality of that 4th.

I wonder how far away Hoever is? Kid is an A+ stud.

He's 17 right? Seems long enough away where enough could happen that you don't want to count on him developing.

Woodburn at 17 was the next Owen and now he's on the verge of being out of the club a few years later. I'll take a De Light now and if Hoever develops then we have a good problem.

That said with Gomez looking really good before his injury and Matip coming on I just wonder if they'll drop the coin necessary to get De Light or use it elsewhere and get someone that can compete but will cost less.

Scary how press resistant  Ajax are. They will present us problems. But they do seem open at the back.

Spurs haven’t been good since the quarters. I think we’re more adaptable than Spurs and our pace up top will be too much for them.

Barring a miracle 2nd half, looks like Ajax. They certainly fit the scary team label. Should be fun.

Hard to believe a team could score three goals to win in a Semi-final. That would be amazing to watch.

Ha ha. I should've said 3 in one half. Hey, I'm fine with Spurs tying it up and this going another 30 after.

Can’t go to extra time. Spurs would advance.
