That belgrade and napoli games are going to sink us possibly....fine with split of psg if it wasnt for bs fouls
Silva at end trips on his feet/dives and we lose a chance at wide open equalizer
Fuck that shit

Red Star was inexcusable. We new Napoli/ PSG were a tough draw. We're proper fucked now.

That's what I'm confused by as well as we'd still be down in GD.

Goal differential doesn’t matter until tiebreaker 2 or 3. Same thing we faced last season in game 6. We drew 1-1 at Spartak and we would have gone out if we lost at home even though our goal differential was like +12 and theirs was negative.

What is tiebreaker 1? Road goals?

Teams that finish level on points in the Champions League group stage are sorted by the following criteria:

  1. Points in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  2. Goal difference in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  3. Goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  4. Away goals scored in head-to-head matches among tied teams;
  5. Goal difference in all group matches;
  6. Goals scored in all group matches;
  7. Away goals scored in all group matches;
  8. Wins in all group matches;
  9. Away wins in all group matches;
  10. Disciplinary points (red card = 3 points, yellow card = 1 point, expulsion for two yellow cards in one match = 3 points);
  11. UEFA club coefficient.

Never mind. It's on LFC's website that we go through with 1-0.

They can nevertheless secure progress to the last 16 if they overcome Napoli either with a 1-0 win or by a cushion of two goals or more when they meet on Merseyside on December 11.

Liverpool could also qualify - and potentially top the group - with a win over Napoli by any scoreline if PSG were to lose or draw in their final fixture, away to Red Star Belgrade.

A draw or defeat at Anfield would mean elimination for the Reds. The third-placed team in the section will assume a place in the Europa League Round of 32.

Doesn't Napoli have 2 away goals to our 1 (Scored 2 @ PSG to our 1 at PSG)? Wouldn't we be out at 7?

Yeah, I mixed up the results (1-1 in Naples).

Reason it’s not 5 is because goal differential would be even (+2). Would go through on tie breaker #6. We would have 9 goals to Napoli’s 7.
