Liverpool have been left with a major injury concern after Naby Keita limped out of Guinea's Africa Cup of Nations tie this afternoon.

The midfielder was – incredibly – carried off on the back of a team-mate during the game against Rwanda with what is thought to be a thigh injury... reportedly because there were no stretchers available for injured players at the game.

The great ironic disappointment in all of this is turning away Fekir for a bad knee while our players are dropping like flies with various leg injuries.

FWIW, Fekir is injured too.

Big difference between a slight hamstring strain and chronic knee problems.

I’ll take the W, but it’s unsettling how inept we are in attack. 3 goals in our last 5 games in all competitions...need to bag 4+ in a game to get some confidence & momentum.

Yes the attack has been off for most of year....but we are still tied for 1st and should get some confidence against red star and easier part of schedule after very tough stretch

Psg ,Tottenham ,chelsea, city and still only have the one loss to napoli

The clean sheet record is the best start of the season in club history. And of course, City is just kicking ass like usual.

Yeah. City is going to be a tough one to pass this year. All we can hope is that they get deep into CL and have to fight two battles (like we hopefully will).

Pep's teams typically fade late in the year. We just need to remain within striking distance until we turn it on.

Last year we didn't have enough to keep it close when City went on that early run. This year is clearly different.

Trent was involved in the press conference yesterday, so you'd think he'd start, but who they trot out there is always weird to me.

Hoping we get him back out there and push Joe to the middle and get Lovren a much needed rest (for my heart and well-being).
