They must have blanched those peas, look how green they are. During our last move I gave away some of the historical cookbooks I had inherited. They featured a lot of aspics and such. I kept a few of the 'church lady' potluck recipes that showed promise. Sometimes out of gelatin and whipped topping and a few other ingredients you can create something quite palatable.

My late MIL had a repertoire of casserole recipes that was handed down to me when I got married. The one I put my foot down with my spouse was the corned beef casserole using canned corned beef. I make a nice corned beef (from the butcher not from a can) with carrots, potatoes, and cabbage like the good Lord intended and if I'm putting the leftovers in a casserole, I'm not using canned cream of celery soup or some similar 'cream of' derivative soup.

I think the paper plate under the container is a nice finishing touch.

The containers on that microwave mac and cheese are nuclear hot when they come out. That's a pro move. Not that I know by experience.

I like hot dogs, but man im starting to think the most disgusting pictures in this thread involve hot dogs of some kind.

The chasm between a grilled and microwave hot dog is immense.

It's been said a million times, but I just can't get over the fact that people post this.  Is it to say "look, I won't starve today!"

yeah, long time ago there was a 'shrimp alfredo' with popcorn size translucent shrimp and just this horrific looking sauce.. for whatever reason that's really the one that made me physically nauseous 🤢
