We're winning offensive boards 5-0 and turnovers 1-4.  We should be up several points right now, but we can't score the god damned ball.  Same thing it's been all year.

I wonder if it's because we try to score things that aren't the ball?

It is what it is.

Jones shows up but can another guard show up too? If 2/3 show up, we usually win.

Carr is showing up in that he isn't throwing the ball away and shooting 1/8.

Askew has to shoot the fucking ball.

When Askew shoots it looks good, but he never shoots. When Carr shoots it looks terrible and he always fucking shoots.

This is almost as bad as that Kermit the frog Vrbo commercial.

4-22 shooting outside of Jones

Maybe we are reverse TCU-ing. Shoot like shit in the 1st half and we won’t miss in the 2nd

Can someone tell me how this year’s offense is any different than the previous 6?

They're not as free wheeling. They also don't have the athletes or the PG that some of those teams had. Which is what made those teams so much more frustrating for me to watch.

For me this offense is doing a decent job of creating open shots and forcing opponents into what would be an alleged mismatch. But guys miss open shots and can't take their defender one on one.

They also can't beat any VT player off the dribble. So they can't attack.

That's part of holding it. When you go quick you catch the defense rotating and can get by them. We constantly let the defender rotate back and get set

I hope having a guy with bounce on the roster next year is part of our strategy.

Dylan Mitchell is a wing with all kind of bounce. And Morris is for sure a plus athlete.

For instance, Ramey had a break away and missed the layup because he can't dunk. Ramey also got a pass wide open on the baseline and dribbled the ball under the basket because the big recovered, any guard that played at Tech for Beard would have dunked both of those opportunities.
