Funny story, the website for James Madison's baseball camp has been down for some time. I'm sure it is a coincidence and nothing at all to do with a Russian agent taking over an old account and pretending to be an American.

So, turns out Hunter has been under investigation all along and the right are still crying about what? That there weren't enough news stories run on a laptop that has no chain of custody and appeared out of nowhere?

Meanwhile, known tax dodger Trump and family have several ties to foreign business deals during Presidency, and significant histories with Russia and China banks, but that should be ignored and there are no open investigations there.

They are crying about it because their attempts to engineer an October surprise didn’t take and it makes them angry as hell.

I will say this, there is a fair amount of shady foreign money sloshing around DC.  For people who are tangentially connected to things in DC, you can make stupid amounts of money because foreigners assume our government is as corrupt as their second or third world nation, so hiring the failson of a VP Is basically a lock for influence peddling.  And forking over huge sums of cash seems totally normal to them, because that’s what they do in their country.

Would Exxon or NRDC ever hire someone line Hunter Biden? Of course not, you want the former committee clerk of EPW or a senior EPA official, because they actually know how to accomplish things in our bureaucratic system. But to someone from Ukraine or China, you just assume a connected political child can accomplish things for you.

If we want to take this post off on the tangent of actually talking about Hunter Biden and his potential foreign entanglements, Bates' post cuts right to it.  ESPECIALLY the bolded parts.

The funny thing is that it's long been just a path to bilk crooked foreigners out of lots of money.  You are paying me for my influence.  But I have little influence, and what little I have largely doesn't play with my parent.

The funnier thing is that is changing, and the last administration was the moving force in that regard.  Don Jr., Eric, Ivanka, Jared?  They were not the POTUS.  They were just his kids/son-in-law.  But suddenly, paying for access to them DID pay off.  Because they were functionally parts of the administration.

In short, the "Hunter Biden scandal" is exhibit eleventy billion in "every accusation is a confession."  Hunter being involved in anything remotely political means he must be a crook.....because the Trump kids complete crooks in connection with their political roles.

Hey look, a MSM article about Hunter's laptop drive:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/technology/2022/03/30/hunter-biden-laptop-data-examined/

  Quote

Thousands of emails purportedly from the laptop computer of Hunter Biden, President Biden’s son, are authentic communications that can be verified through cryptographic signatures from Google and other technology companies, say two security experts who examined the data at the request of The Washington Post.

The verifiable emails are a small fraction of 217 gigabytes of data provided to The Post on a portable hard drive by Republican activist Jack Maxey. He said the contents of the portable drive originated from Hunter Biden’s MacBook Pro, which Hunter reportedly dropped off at a computer repair shop in Wilmington, Del., in April 2019 and never reclaimed.

Expand

  Quote

The vast majority of the data — and most of the nearly 129,000 emails it contained — could not be verified by either of the two security experts who reviewed the data for The Post. Neither found clear evidence of tampering in their examinations, but some of the records that might have helped verify contents were not available for analysis, they said. The Post was able in some instances to find documents from other sources that matched content on the laptop that the experts were not able to assess.

Expand

  Quote

Among the reasons for the inconclusive findings was sloppy handling of the data, which damaged some records. The experts found the data had been repeatedly accessed and copied by people other than Hunter Biden over nearly three years. The MacBook itself is now in the hands of the FBI, which is investigating whether Hunter Biden properly reported income from business dealings.

Yeah. I mean the the banality of the Hunter Biden scandal is that he didn’t disburse people of the the reality he couldn’t do shit. People kept asking/assuming he could do stuff, and he came up with a pathetic “maybe.” Was that his addiction or weak moral character? Yes. But that’s really all he did.  It sounds like post Obama presidency he tried to rope his dad in and got the firm stiff arm.

As a father who is sending my kids out into the world as legal adults, I am terrified of the “Yeah, that doesn’t seem like a good idea, Buddy, but ultimately, your a grown up” discussion.

I mean, the temptation is pretty strong.

"Hey Brisket, Igor and I would like to pay you $50 million, make you Executive Vice Grand Poobah of Ukrainian Scam Company #4 -- you don't have to do anything but show up at some meetings with a big nameplate that happens to be the same last name as the US VP, and maybe you could talk to your dad about our business when you can."

Odds are very high my answer would have been "I dunno....50 million?  Can you make it 60 million?"  And then I would have taken whatever they offered.  Because that's a LOT of hookers and blow money.

And while it's skeezy and slimy as hell, it's also most likely 100% legal.  And in the end, mostly a waste of money, because the US system just isn't anywhere close to as corrupt as the system Igor is used to playing in (where $50 million gives him a great ROI).  Of course, under the Trump admin.....that shit changed.   Which is why every accusation is a confession, exhibit 10,567,894.

As I said here or elsewhere, it doesn't meet the "appearance of impropriety" ethical standard.

But that standard hasn't been seriously applied to non-judicial government officials maybe ever, certainly not recently.

Again, I have my own independent doubts regarding Hunter Biden's engagement with foreign governments and foreign corporations.  That other dispersions cast on him constantly come from Trump worshippers just doesn't fuck help though.  There's "what-about-ism" and then there's literally the most corrupt family to ever inhabit the White House trying to claim, "He traded on the family name", when that's literally all the Trump's have going for them...is the family name.  Of course every President has put family and friends in positions of power in their administration.  Half the Bush administration lives in Austin in a life of luxury because of the connections they made while he was in the Oval Office.  But it came through legit streams of income.  They served in government, left office, went private sector, traded on their old title, and made a few bucks without hurting anybody.  What the Trumps have done is not in the same galaxy as that.  But again, you can't teach stupid...so who fucking cares at this point?

Bet, this ends in a whimper and tax payment of sorts.

But, Hunter probably used his dads name for personal gain!!!??

Oh, Ignore Trump using the Presidency for personal gain!!!

Then, we will all still be left to wonder why the fbi and doj continue to engage in wild goose chases against the left, while ignoring the misdeeds of the right.

Trump has been under irs audit for at least a decade. No payments. No charges for a clear tax cheat.

No fbi investigations of his or his children business dealings during Presidency.

No discussion of the huge sums of taxpayers funds that flowed to his properties during his 4 years.

No investigation into struggling properties suddenly booked full by foreign governments for 4 years. Kuwait. Turkey. Saudi Arabia. Etc.

No punishment for Bannon on the build the wall fraud.

The list goes on, but it's the left that controls everything, like the illuminati, according to the numbnuts.

They'll buy the dumbest fucking shit he has to shill.  My cousin bought a $200 commemorative set of Trump coins which literally sits atop their dining room next to a crucifix and photographs of her children.  But buy something useful like steak or wine, nah...that's for the masses...

I know they exist, I just haven't seen one.  I'm sure there's a couple whom I could question but they'd post back in all caps with, "YOU CAN'T ASK ME WHO I VOTED FOR, HIPAA VIOLATION!"  Real stable geniuses as you know.  You're right though, there were quite a few (don't remember names, don't care) that did proudly post in 2016/17 that they had voted for him.  But that got scarce real quick.  Now there's literally nobody around that will admit to voting for him once, let alone twice.

But yeah, those steaks.  I'm sure it was a decent meat product (that's what Ivanka said), but after seeing how he eats them...no honorable Texan carnivore should partake.

But you look at some of the consumer goods he lent his name to:  Steaks, Wine, Ice Bottled Water, Chocolate, Fragrance, Neckties, Boardgames, Vodka, Select Coffee drinks, etc.  It's like we elected PRESIDENT SKYMALL.

Then you look at his myriad business ventures (aside from bankrupted casinos which is technically impossible to do if you know maths):  Trump Resorts, Trump Golf, Trump Steakhouse, Trump Shuttle, Trump Airlines, USFL franchise, Trump Home Furnishings, and Trump Gaming.  Basically the guy ran a collection of vouchers you get in a gift bag at the end of a gala or stuff you wished you hadn't bid on during the silent auction.  He was probably weeks away from selling nudes of Ivanka, but lucky for her and incest laws, he won the White House and stayed his debt payments.

I can't post pics, but here's a photo with three egregious things in it:

People make fun of the way he holds a glass of water, or bibles, or his pubescent daughter.  But the way he holds a steak is fucking ridiculous.  Even a butcher or a griller wouldn't hold it like that to show off.  Second, that's a petit filet which also make his hands look even more creepy small.  He has really weirdly small hands for a guy of his height.  Finally, marketing dipshit that he is.  Shows off the filets (as you do in the business), and then runs over to the carving station to eat well done shit sirloin with ketchup.  That's not how you upsell, Commander Dipshit.

Okay, back to the laptop...does it make a whirring sound when running too many tabs?
