Sure.  Which is what I said multiple times, both yesterday and today. But it's not about the last man on the roster sucking- it's about losing quality without them getting replaced and the knock down affect that has.  When you had a roster full of absolute studs that played more or less every day you don't need quality versatile depth pieces.  It just isn't important.  When you have a lineup full of older guys, guys that are gimpy, guys that get hurt and guys that just aren't awesome in every situation you have to have guys that can come in and be useful contributors when they are called upon.  You can't lose everyday guys, watch everyday guys get older and not make your depth stronger.  A guy like Uncle Mike is probably not going to play 145 games and have a 900 OPS like he used to. You have to be situational with him.  You have to give Yuli rest.  Guys like Bregman haven't proven to be iron men.  Altuve is getting to the age where you wouldn't expect him to play 150 games anymore.  That shit all adds up.
