What did Urquidy do to the guys??? They have to be doing this on purpose

Maybe Verlander stressed a 5 man rotation only.

We have gotten better than JAG production from CF the last year and a half.
If we have Jake Meyers batting 8th and putting up 3 or 4 WAR that’s almost the definition of 1st world “problems”.

You keep saying that like it's a sure thing, when it's not. Meyers got almost half his WAR from defense. Stop fucking around and bring up Leon.

Meyers had a 111 wRC+ in MLB last year. Leon has a 116 wRC+ in AAA right now. I’d give Meyers a look first. I agree that he’s no sure thing, but neither is Leon, who is still striking out at an alarming rate in the minors.

Damn, Carlos Delgado hit 473 HR. I’d have guessed he was around 400 without looking it up. I know he was a one-dimensional player in a heavy offense era, but that’s strong. .280/.383/.546 career line.

Mariners haven’t won 2 in a row since April 26. Astros haven’t lost 2 in a row this month. So, of course.

May 28th now

I hope like hell we turn this losing streak around today

In Astro injuryspeak, amputation is imminent

Tuck’s not in there. Dusty Baker said he’s doing “fair”. They’re waiting on MRI results. He left last night’s game with left foot discomfort.

How about a nice easy win with a  10 run explosion today?

Astros haven't scored more than 7 since the HR party against Eovaldi. They are averaging barely over 2 runs per game since. Maybe scoring 3 would be a better starting point, but I just don't see it with Bregman and Gurriel killing the top 5 and now an injury to Tucker.

The bench has contributed next to nothing this season. 319 ABs and a triple slash of .182/.239/.285/.524, which is one of reasons the starters shouldn't be getting as much time off as Dusty gives them.

Except the starters getting as much time off as Dusty gives them, aren’t they the bench and the problem too?
