This offense when multiple guys are resting is terrible

It's really only awesome when every main guy is healthy and swinging well and no more than one guy is being his usual ineffective self at the plate. Starting pitching and experience are the reasons we're a contender. We won't have another reason until we find a bat or two.

Against NY and Seattle we got out to early leads and hung on. Against Oakland we get out to early deficits and can’t quite come back enough to take the lead

We've also haven't had a big inning this series. Twice we scored 2 runs, all other runs were single-serve. Our 4 HR have all been solo shots.

To be fair, it was barely league average when everyone was healthy. Too many fringe MLB players along with a few vets that are likely done as MLB regulars. We have 4 guys that have been consistently good, Alvarez, Tucker, Altuve, and Pena. That means when any of those 4 are in slumps or resting the offense goes from league average to what we have seen in this series.

Korey Lee basically gave up that run. He's not ready, but at least he knows what he needs to work on, hopefully he's ready for a backup role next year. It's a testament to this pitching staff, that a team with this many shitty players currently on the MLB roster is running away with the division.

The Astros entered today #4 in MLB in team wRC+ (113). The offense can’t reasonably be described as “league average.”

That said, I don't think Click can justify standing pat with our current lineup.

We're getting dogshit production from the bottom of our lineup.

Our primary 1B has a .669 OPS.

The 3 guys we've trotted out at CF have produced a combined .650 OPS.

Our usual LF hasn't been seen in a month.

I get the use of Sabremetric calcs, but the Astros have scored 4.46 runs per game, the league average is 4.35. So, you would think that wRC+ that is 13% better, would lead to more runs.
