Is it confirmed this is his last year?

You gotta go for 700...

He's said over and over he's done. He just hit another. 8 away.

Yeah... I know. He's posting his best OPS+ in 10 years though. Guess the odds he does it again next year are pretty low.

Wonder if the HR derby gave him some confidence or put him in the right state of mind.

Wife and I were just talking about it -- If he were an everyday player, I think he'd have a chance.  But given that he can't hit righties at all and Brad Lidge is retired, I don't see how he hits 8 more in 6 weeks.

Yeah... unless they make a WS run which isn't going to happen I don't see him getting to 700. But if he could get 5 more and pass Arod that would be nice.

Playoff stats don’t count towards your career totals.

700 is nice but I think #5 is gonna be just fine if he finishes sub 700.

He reached a nice milestone tonight. Passed Musiel for 2nd most total bases in history after Aaron

But still not even close to the Cardinals record

The transitive law means the Yankees are, too, because, well, you know.

Haha

I started  to post the same thing asking what, with the transitive property, that makes the Yankees, but it’s helobious, so said fuck it

Dude, worry about your team.

There’s nothing to worry about with my team, they’re fucking horrible. About a third of Yankee Twitter is saying we should tank the rest of the season to get better draft positions. Hard to see the argument against that at this point, I assume the calls for that will grow.

I am a sox fan. We are last in the East. Shitty year for us. Just saying, the Astros are not your problem. And it is a Texas board. Stop the whining and love the sport. Yankees are going to make the playoffs. One way or another. What happens there happens.

The Braves are looking a little like the 2019 Nationals and the run they went on after a slow start. 52-20 since June 1.

The Braves are looking more like the 2021 Braves.

Them too. (Was thinking 2019 Nationals due to the Harper/Freeman departures.)

The Braves are going to be a problem for a while. They have been so aggressive in signing their young talent to pre-FA contract extensions. Acuna, Riley, Albies, Olson, Harris are all signed through 2028 and beyond.

And in honor of the event, Judge just got his pussy hurt because he got plunked on his gigantic elbow guard.

Oh please. He got plunked and was frustrated for like 2 seconds about it. Waved everyone in the dugout back and seemed to squash it with Manoah immediately.

Astros are the Braves’ bitch.

You know who’s the Dodgers bitch today?  Cy Young fav Alcantara.  Chased after 3 2/3.  6 runs, 10 hits.  Thanks for coming Marlins.
