Ever since LeBron got praised for his photographic memory he keeps giving the same type of detailed answers during the post game press conference, and it’s usually not needed. Kind of funny though.

He does go into tremendous detail sometimes. Kind of impressive, really

When it’s needed. But for example in the clip from him walking off tonight, he was asked about JR’s state of mind and he said something along the lines of, “We came down, we were down one, George Hill got fouled, he made one of two, and we were tied.” His recounting if evebts didn’t really have anything to do with the question. Just one example of a few that I’ve seen since then.

Well he obviously didn't like the question

This was an all time great performance by LeBron, but it was not a 1v5. The Cavs got a 20-10 from Love, and quality contributions from Nance.

You can play semantics, his team still blows.

He's the best defensive player in the league, and he had 13 points, 11 rebounds, 9 assists, 5 steals, and 2 blocks tonight. But please, continue.

It's easier to play great defense when you don't have to worry about scoring at all. Draymond does not need to score for that team, no offensive burden means more energy for defense.  He's a good player, but he wouldn't be able to do what he does now for any other team.

Balls. Kevin Love stepped onto the court during the TT/Dray fiasco. Hopefully, Silver has selective vision. Love was really good tonight. Led the team in rebounds in a game where they absolutely crushed Golden State on the boards, especially the offensive ones. No one needs any further fines or suspensions for this one. Teams that legitimately hate each other is fun. Let them play.

I think he could(and would) do it on any other team

I'm not sure if leaving the bench when the game is being dribbled out is the same as leaving the bench during a fight...but Love was also at half court when they were about to inbound the ball after the flagrant 2

LBJ's 51 was nice, but it won't be enough to win 4 games. And that's the goal. Let him have his.

The Warriors should be pissed that Love had 20 and their horrible rebounding.

CLE always outrebounds GSW. Not really new.   What is new is GSW had single digit TOs.   Under normal circumstances that results in a blowout win for them.

This is how you know who was responsible for the trades. It also is a peek into the mind of Cavs ownership. To think that you even stand a chance of winning a Ship with one dude is remarkable.

This part of the thread is funny.

James had a great game. He was also talking shit about a block when his team was beaten. That's a move that will get you laughed at no matter the level or part of the season. You talk shit when you're getting beaten and you're going to get laughed at and shit talked back to you. Tough shit.

Hahaha. He completely ignores that James is still sliding left when Durant leaves the ground. That is a blocking foul and it's not even debatable.

Jay said the NBA and college rules are different. There's no NBA requirement regarding movement. in the actual rule which he and the analyst read.

The restricted area is the only reviewable piece they are allowed to go to the monitor for.

Again, ha.

Block-Charge: An on-ball, block-charge situation occurs when contact is made between an offensive player (who is moving in a particular direction or trying to change directions) and defensive player. The defender is permitted to establish his legal guarding position in the path of the dribbler regardless of his speed and distance. To get into a legal position, the defender needs to establish himself in the path of the offensive player before contact is made, thus “beating him to the spot,” and before he starts his upward shooting motion.

Pretty hard to leave the ground before you start your upward shooting motion. Maybe the NBA doesn't know what their own rule is. Or maybe Jay Williams is wrong. Could go either way.

lulz

This is also wrong. What a clown show on this thread.

The debatable portion they have a right to bitch about is how in the hell the officials were unsure regarding James' presence in the restricted area. That was silly.

no "ha" there. James met the criteria as explained by Jay and the ESPN guy.

Once again, that's not really the argument. The refs are only allowed to consult the replay if there is question about whether or not the player is in the restricted area. James wasn't even close to the restricted area so what did they go to the monitor for?

Why are you defending that they literally reversed a judgement call?

NFL refs can't reverse a pass interference. But they can go back and call 12 men on the field. I've seen calls like lebron leaning get called charges and  blocks

This keeps getting better. Now we're using precedent from an entirely different league. Holy shit.

You guys are a bunch of butthurt babies. It's hilarious.

It does get better because you're actually defending it like you knew the rule can be reviewed 12 hours ago.

This is more like if there was questionably offensive PI on a play, the offense runs another play, and then the league says, "hmmm, y'know what, we should look at that play 2 plays ago" does so and overturns it. It's total fuckery that they would claim a mechanism exists for that play to be reviewed because LeBron was a legit 2' outside of the restricted area

The part that makes it funny to me is that there are dozens of calls in an NBA game that are incorrect. It's 10 huge fast athletes being watched by three guys who are usually old. That leads to incorrect and missed calls.

Meanwhile people are in here arguing one of the demonstrably correct calls.

WTF? We've got a situation where Tristan Thompson may miss a game with the root cause being a horrific phantom elbow flagrant 2 being called. That's actually also the root cause for people wondering about Kevin Love's status too.

But y'all want to talk about the call that was made correctly.

And that's what we are talking about Huck. Welcome to the convo. The refs had no right to go to the monitor as the fact of whether or not James was in the restricted area was never in question. They went there to get a better look at the movement piece, and that is not why you go to the monitor. Even still, plays get called charges all the time where the defender slides in front of the offensive player. This isn't college.

it's a debate about the correctness. We cannot presume the correctness, that's what debates are for.
