One thing that we can be certain is whether the director is always showing us the events in "order." We saw Royal pushed into the hole and wake up in the field what seemed to be the next morning.

Later on in the second episode, we saw that might not have been the case.

I presume it’s a time portal to a few years in future   At some point, Royal dies, they sell the ranch and portal rediscovered.  At some point the dead dude shows up and they put 2 and 2 together.

Lost wasn’t a bad story. It just took too long to get to the end. 120 episodes.

Yeah, this is an Amazon show.  We'll be lucky if we get 25-30 episodes in total.

I like it but I don't know what the fuck is going on. I just know that the Tillerson neighbor knows what is in the west pasture and that is why he wants it.

Took me a while to realize it was this guy:

From the William Shatner school of overacting.  He was in Yellowstone too so I guess he's going through a Rocky mountain rancher phase.

Great show.  Some type of time portal/travel.  Anyone remember the little girl asking her g-ma where the g-father came from?  Something to the effect of "he just showed up".  Went into the hole at age 9?  The old picture he still kept hidden?

Kronos loops and controls time?  Old man dying, wants the land?  It's something about going back and/on controlling time.  The hole is a gate?  Wormhole?

Who TF knows what Tatanka with two arrows in his back represents?

If they need that many hands to move their herd, maybe they need to lose their ranch. Any good cattleman can call his cows and they will will follow like well trained dogs. There might be a couple of stragglers,  but you don't need ten people to keep them in line.

Shake a bag of cubes and they'll hear it a mile away and come running.

There's a big fucking wormhole that fucks with space/time in the middle of a ranch and y'all are concerned about ranching and tracking issues.

Appropriate avatar is appropriate.

What about the tracking skills displayed?  I am pretty sure you don't have to pick up the steaming pile of horseshit to determine it's fresh horseshit.

maybe she just likes picking up fresh horseshit?

Hmm I’ve only seen two episodes. Sounds like I should hit the pause button and see what if there’s a payoff.

I was getting Lost vibes too. It just seems like it’s hard to build a really good story out of some these intriguing premises. See: Invasion on Apple TV. Just terrible.
