Lamonica was the perfect qb for Al’s offense. Heavy running game and deep vertical passing game. Those AFL games were so awesome then with Hadl and Alworth, Dawson and Strams offense, and the Raiders.

With Fred Biletnikoff and Warren Wells as wide outs, he had plenty of opportunity. Old man Blanda was there to take care of the kicking. (Came in 2nd in MVP voting 1970)

Hahaha man that is totally what I thought. The first sporting event that I truly remember was that game….
