If this even remotely true then the B1G is stupid beyond words & the leaders who nixed this should be run out of town. Even if they turned their nose up at ou they already let Nebraska in, for fuck's sake.

Had they taken Texas and ou they would have had great leverage & could have poached other blue bloods. Now they're stuck looking at Kansas and Iowa State and the half million or so eyeballs they draw combined.

Well, if true, I'm glad the B1G fucked up bc tOSU and Michigan are the only rust-belt teams worth playing IMO. Maybe Ped St.

I was trying to sort of divvy up the map of the SEC into 4 parts where OKC/Dallas/Houston, NOLA, Nashville/Hoover and Atlanta/Greenville/Columbia sort of hits every geographic part.

You could add Round Rock or Sugar Land if you want to have a fourth location to offset Greenville/Columbia.

Round Rock’s AAA ball park has that Kalahari 1,000 room hotel/waterpark right across the road.

Yep, and they could've kept CFB balanced. B1G would've looked like:

tOSU

Texas

Michigan

ou

Penn St

Wisconsin

That's a pretty stout top 6.  Would've been great road trips too.

If you don't want an away game in Madison I have no idea what to tell you.

There's a solid chunk of you cocksuckers who should be beaten with reeds and then have your broken, bleeding bodies kicked off the roof of some mid-sized parking garages. Into some piles of glass or used syringes or Geoff Ketchum's mobile porta a potty. Fuck y'all.

Will the morale improve?

I'd rather go to Red Stick and The Grove, but to each his own.

While the SEC is the better choice for a few reasons, I'd do Madison over Baton Rouge every time. And Memphis/Oxford over both for a cfb weekend.

Here's the podcast fwiw.  It's a short listen and some interesting things in there.

This sounds like after the fact justification for the Big Ten getting outmaneuvered by the SEC.  I don't believe for a second that the Big Ten would say no to Texas and OU because OU is non-AAU.

Didn’t Corn lose AAU cred - and did not get booted?

Yes but only early in the season. That midwest winter cold is something else.

Obviously won't happen, but nothing would appease me more than A&M take an us or them stance and SEC then proceed to say ok and vote them out.

Oh but this gem.

Discussion and possible action on contractual and governance issues relating to Texas A&M University and the Southeastern Conference.

So, what's the over/under on the number of times the phrase "gentleman's agreement" is used during that discussion?

Lowell Galindo pretty much ruins LHN for everyone so....

I could live with him if it meant we wouldn’t lose all of those Horns baseball games with Moreland and Swindell.  That makes me sad …

SIAP. The posturing still continues.

Hopefully they're wearing their masks. Hate to catch Delta in the midst of such a heated discussion.

Thanks.  Some posters on IT are saying he is saying there actually won’t be a vote tomorrow.  Not sure how reliable he is or what post they are referring that he made.

Maybe it will play out like this:

Chair: "Do we have a motion to accept Texas and Oklahoma into the SEC unanimously?"

Unnamed SEC School Prez: "So moved."

Chair: "Can we get a second?"

Another SEC School Prez: "Seconded."

Chair: "All right.  All those in favor?"

[almost everyone says "Aye"]

Chair:  "All opposed?  Texas A&M, you keep your damn mouth shut."
