Bowlsby is a regard. Texas' attorneys are going to stick his testimony down his throat.

Yep. He just put a hard cap on any damages the Irate 8 can realistically claim, and he did not make that number very high at all.

Is the claim now reduced to you are allowed to leave a conference unless you are of significant value to the other members and in that case you have no recourse to choose your own conference affiliation?

“They were lying about having to do it now, there is no reason to give notice now we won’t renewed the agreement until 6-9 months out from 2025.”

“They have a 2 year penalty for leaving.”

No reason at all…

They are never going to get their contract renewed with the optimal payout without extending the Grant of Rights before they cut the deal.

Is he saying Texas and OU were lying? Who is the “they” in that statement?

Yeah it’s not clear, but the they is clearly Texas/OU and it’s agents or supporters telling lies in their narrative.

Here it comes. Texas will get blamed for stalling/killing the 12 Team Playoff.

We're steaming towards 90's Duke Hoops levels of national hate.

Yup. Yet another hate-Texas-fest......  just like Paul dickhead's SEC call-in show.

Are you surprised?  I'm not.

And now Texas is destroying the Olympic movement, too!  Truly fucking Delusional!

So much lulz, TCU won’t have track athletes if Texas leaves…(as if we haven’t left them previously).

Goes back to the point that was asked about Texas only taking 10 days to leave the B12 and join the SEC.  Why, if they have already vetted 18 schools including UH why they can't invite them and get other schools in within 10 days?

Clemson and FSU are perfect fits for the SEC.

Florida needs a little brother. South Carolina, not so much, but it is Clemson. Vandy is Rice, so they are worthy little brother status to Tennessee. Auburn apparently means something to Alabama, so yes.

Miss St. Aggies and Texas Aggies? Can we put them in a permanent relegation league made up of JV programs?

Would make me chuckle if the SEC said "sorry Clemson and FSU but you see we have these gentlemen's agreements not to take other schools from the same state as existing SEC members".

Please make this happen.

"What's the difference between mega conferences and super conferences?" Who elected this guy?

If we form a super-mega conference Dustin Burrows may jump in front of a train.

College Sports has jack all to do with, well, college. At least the big time versions.

But if they are so worried about the focus on money and education they can always pass a law or something requiring a certain percentage of college sports money to supplement tuition or something.

Big 12 commish Bob Bowlsby estimates that the remaining eight Big 12 schools could lose $14 million per year in TV revenue upon Oklahoma and Texas' departure.

Does Pepsi file a lawsuit when Coke plays a commercial on mass-media? I think they should because Coke is trying to lure people away from Pepsi which might affect the Pepsi bottom line.

Haha poor aggy.

Unless he thinks that's a shot at Texas as it departs, he used Maryland as the example?  After what happened in '17 and '18?

South Carolina is irrelevant, even as a little brother. A poor man's aggy, if you will. Unless you were trying to say Clemson is UofSC's little brother, then you might need to brush up on your history. The Clemson/Georgia hate is where it's at.
