they must smell like rich mahogany.

so what’s the best prediction on timing for this blessed event to become official (early exit)?

before nsd would be ideal for obvious reasons. we should aim for ou weekend.

Sounds like next season because it appears we are willing to do or pay whatever it takes to get out before then.

For all the worry about how beaten down we're going to be hearing the SEC chant over and over, those poor SEC bastards have no idea how terrible it is to hear Boomer Sooner one thousand times per game.

IMO the best way for Tex/OU to go about the buyout route is to agree to a number and put the money with a third party intermediary who sends out funds on July 1st every year based on previous year earnings. This would allow for one of two things to happen, either the big 12 combusts within a year of Texas/OU leaving and we get out money back or their reduced revenue pushes the total amount paid out to effectively a rounding error by July 2025.

Pretty much the standard summary and analysis most have already read elsewhere.  But noteworthy about how all seems to think UT/OU moving is just the tip of the iceberg, with big changes ahead.

Also, Leinart probably should have woken up 5 minute earlier and grabbed a shower.

OU really does not like playing at 11am.

It's kind of funny that it appears to be 11:00am kickoffs that pushed them over the edge.  That should have been really easy for the Big 12 to fix and they just ignored OU being pissed about it.

Going to laugh so hard when their first SEC game against Mississippi State is an 11 a.m. kick.

I guarantee you the Nebraska game getting fucked and Bowlsby’s bullshit indifference had a huge hand.

I think OU is also miffed about Texas getting all the blame/credit for the move.  This is their airing of the grievances.

Bowlesby, IN WRITING EARLIER THIS WEEK, “if we knew of grievances we would have worked to address them!”

ou: here’s our list of stated grievances that were not addressed.

FOX fucked the Big 12 on that one. They should be broadcasting B1G schools with noon EST kickoffs. But, yeah, Bowlsby is a fuckin' empty suit.

I think it's just a convenient excuse. They had been talking to the SEC long before the game time got scheduled. But don't care. Fuck that shitty 11:00 am Cotton Bowl hangover start.

I had a conversation with Del Conte about kickoff time 2 years ago and how it was frustrating the schools had no control over it but that was the deal in exchange for the $$$.   So from Texas perspective, he mentioned doing the concerts and all the other gameday improvements as a goal to make everyone want to come no matter the kickoff time.  But I recall during the conversation he specifically mentioned OU has won the Big 12 almost every year and every year gets stuck with 11AM kickoff times and they hate it.   So yeah, if Del Conte brought that up off the cuff 2 years ago no doubt it has been simmering up North for years.
