I don't believe this for a fucking second.
Name a few others that would be mainstream. I might have heard some that i didn't know it was him. But that's the only song that I definitely know that's his.

The Eagles and KISS are at the tip top of my list.

Bon Jovi, Foreigner, Kansas, Boston, Styxx, Steve Miller and all that other terrible shit is just under them.

I've heard of One Bourbon One Scotch One Beer but not by him. It was a black, blues artist. Is Thorogood the original artist of that song? I have also heard I Drink Alone and Who Do You Love. Didn't know those were his tracks. Thanks.

The Eagles and Boston are kick ass bands. Kansas early on was solid.

Agree on Bon Jovi and Foreigner. Terrible music besides a few tracks.

And Who Do You Love is a Bo Diddley song.

That's the version I remember as well. So then it seems I still have only heard 2 original Thorogood songs.

I'm not sure an "original Thorogood song" actually exists in the wild.

So who was the original artist of Bad To The Bone?

It was a joke.

Disagree. Just because other bands are influenced by a particular band, that doesn’t make that band part of the genre. To my ears, and most anyone else who likes heavy music, pantera doesn’t sound anything like Korn or Limp Bizkit, etc. Stick to fat cholas dude, you are without a doubt an expert on that subject.

Agreed

Jimmy Buffett...just die
Blink 182
Bono (there are a few U2 songs I like, but I wish someone would beat the shit out of Bono)

#1 on the list, my friend.

The Eagles.  I like Joe Walsh and Don Henley solo.  Put that shit bag Glenn Frey and that really ugly woman in there and you have the genesis of something putrid that would become bro country.

How they came up with Hotel California, which I will agree is a fantastic song, I have no idea.

Never liked, never will:

CCR

Jethro Tull

Janis Joplin

Liked at one time, but hearing them played too often has made be grow to hate them:

James Taylor

Billy Joel

Elton John

Jackson Brown

I can pretty much get behind most good music, even if it isn't my particular cup of tea. That said, I can't fucking stand the cure and their whiny ass shit. Hated them then and still hate them now.

Also, every bro country doosh who ever lived or is going to live.

I used to not appreciate the Cure until I listened to Seventeen Seconds and the couple of albums after that.  They were a little early for me and I only heard what they played on the radio.  This was the track that turned the corner for me.  I can see how it could still be seen as whiny though.

Bro country is definitely the worst.

I like The Cure.  It took me awhile.  Some of it is incredibly well-written pop, and some is pretty dark.

I don't like The Smiths, but I have to admit Johnny Marr is a damn genius.

I fucking hate Dave Matthews with every fiber of my being.  It's a shame we lose bands like SRV and Lynard Skynard to aviation accidents, and this mother fucker probably flies around the world in his GV without issue.

Saw a dmb cover band and they were way better than the original.

Yes the fucking smiths too. Although I will admit How Soon is Now is a pretty bad ass song, but the lyrics make me want to stab myself.

The thing is: Morrisey sucks but Johnny Marr fucking rocks.  So the Smiths is a mixed bag.  Great music, embarrassing lyrics and god-awful vocals.

I'm not a fan of the Smiths either really but admit Morrissey sings some catchy-ass melodies.

. . . and some really stupid lyrics.

Yeah put me down for Morrissey/The Smiths as well. Seemed like everyone was into them during my college years (early 90s) and I just didn't get it. Can't stand his singing style. However, I agree that How Soon is Now is a good song and Johnny Marr is a great guitarist.

There are a couple of cure songs I like but I never seek them out. But totally 100% agree on bro country. In fact, I think we should sterilize anyone who likes that shit.

Beyoncé. I’ve never heard a song but I can’t stand her. It even bugs me that her name was autocorrected to include an accent on the “e”.

Every country musician in history.

I agree with you on Beyonce.  She has a decent voice but her songs, and especially her llyrics, are absolute shite.  Plus, she's an awful dancer.  Nice legs though.
