Road Trip 2018: @Maryland (FedEx Field) Sept. 1st - Labor Day Weekend

This is like OU/Texas if OU fans stayed home from meth overdoses. The orange half is full, the red half is empty.

This is great, it's a Texas home game without all the hassles of  parking at DKR.

The Metro in is a great option. This venue sucks. The game should’ve been in College Park. Maryland fans seem to not give a shit about football. Glad for seats in the shade especially with the lightning delay. Don’t have to leave our seats.

Lightning delay at the beginning of the 4th and not at the end of 3rd when beer could still be purchased. Not sure who got screwed more, me or Dan synder.

I was about to make the same post.  Fuck Dan.  Fuck Maryland.

Fuck it, we suck. But hey my alma mater won.

Those fucking Maryland kids know how to play football unlike Texas.  My hats off to them.

As for us, we suck and eat shit.

Said this in the game thread. Judging from tv, this was a terrible atmosphere. Most of the stadium was empty. Hardly any home team fans. College football does not need to be played at NFL stadiums in the regular season. These neutral site games are getting on my nerves. Another reason greed and money are ruining the game. Don't take the games off campus because you want to share revenue with an NFL team allowing you to host. This game would have been perfect at Maryland's smaller stadium.

You are correct. There was zero reason to go play at FedEx other than a pay day the fans won’t see. You could metro to College Park. I’d rather done that.

College Park is a great place to see a game.  It's pretty, festive and "collegiate" old school.
FedEx is a turd-smeared toilet paper.  But remember - Danny Boy didn't build it - Jack Kent Cooke did.

The ladies looked nice. That's all I got.

Tailgate, stadium, atmosphere, game, rain, game, food, $10 beer all awful.

I saw 1 girl with a red dress and a horns sticker on her cheeks that was halfway decent. Other than that, didn’t see shit. Then again, I rarely saw someone with Maryland gear on.

That Stadium sucks, short of that fact that they did sell beer during the 4th quarter rain delay, that was nice. otherwise what a shitty game, in a shitty venue, with shitty weather. Edibles helped

So the board is now 0-4 now in road trips, right?

Notre Dame, Cal, USC and today.

I need to lay some money on these.

Since the Colt left...

W - 2010 Rice

W - 2011 UCLA

W - 2012 Ole Miss

L - 2013 BYU

L - 2014 UCLA @ Jerryworld

L - 2015 Notre Dame

L - 2016 Cal

L - 2017 USC

L - 2018 Maryland

And I’ve been to them all...it’s been a rough 6 years

They just got a torrential, sustained rainstorm in Philly and 25 minutes later the field was dry as a bone.

That shitshow field in Landover didn't look like it could contain a shower from the misting fans on the sideline.  What a cluster.
