Agree. He also did it to avoid the tag, which automatically makes him out by rule.

That was as much Bullshit as Wally Backman taking 3 intentional strides outside the parallel lines and sliding outside the parallel lines that he must stay in to run to 1st by rule in order to avoid a tag, and not being called out for it in the '86 NLCS. That run came around to score, too.

Hal Lanier should have walked his team off the field in protest and told the NL president to eat a huge bag of dicks. Fuck the mets!

Good news is typically when he has a shitty weekend like this, he follows it up with an epic one the next weekend. Yeah I’ll take that trade off right now
