Gilroy basically going down the line of rebel factions that Saw Gerrera references in S1.

We saw a group of Maya Pei neo-republicans, we know the Ghorman Front will be in this next arc as Dedra said they need a rebel cell on Ghorman that will respond exactly how they need to explain away the impending occupation(and massacre we’ve always known about).

Speaking of, I feel like we should get a Saw cameo or maybe even plot line?  No?

My MIL had to be admitted to the hospital tonight. She’s going to be ok, I’m pretty sure. I have a few bars of coverage so I should be able to keep up tonight.

Very very likely

I can't imagine how many hundreds or even thousands of words of erotic fan fiction about Dedra have been written since 6pm here in Austin.

But next time I open up my word processor, I'll do a word count and let you know.

Are you wearing a gimp suit in your fan fiction?

Dedra would never go for something that tacky.  It's gotta be a rebel spy who goes deep undercover who whisks her to safety after she is blamed for a certain massacre, and he spends weeks at hyperspace trying to convince her that deep down she's a good person.

Well, at least in one of the stories, maybe in others it might be some rebel spy she is interrogating, and he convinces her to free  him and go on the run with him.

Well, shit, there's a lot of stories....out there on the internet.

also I am terrified of 7-9. Not watching any previews, just a feeling with what happened in 4-6

I might need to take off work next Wednesday and schedule therapy

Bit of a yey boo on 6 with the doctor and Cinta. Glad Bix can sleep again. The viewing scene was pretty damn tense. Kleya is a stealth hottie. The Ghormans are f'ing dumbasses that are the perfect cannon fodder for Luthen. Ghorman is Star Wars France? Correct me if I'm wrong on Wilmon. He was using a piece of tech that poisons air? They were pumping poison into the Imperial base or was it stealing fuel? The Mon vs Krennic stuff was incredible. The world building is just top notch.

Some good easter eggs in this one. D'Qar was the Resistance planet in The Force Awakens. The Tarkin Massacre on Ghorman is discussed but not shown. I was under the impression it happened in this timeline. So now we're getting a 2nd Ghorman massacre.

Bail Organa was recast because Jimmy Smits couldn't make it work with his schedule.

No, they were stealing rhydo. It’s starship fuel. Super volatile and toxic. Explains why Saw needs the breathing apparatus by R1 - he’s legit just huffing fumes

I’ll go back and read the rest, but goddamn….the end of 5??? I could watch that on loop for weeks. This is an absolute masterpiece.

The one we were excited about sounds like it happened in BBY 18. So this will be some sort of reprisal, but maybe not a ship landing on people. Or Tarkin says fuck it I’ll do it again

Thanks for clarifying. Need subtitles for the Saw lines.

Did Luthen send Vel and Cinta to Ghorman hoping they would both die to light a fire under Mon Motha since Vel was her cousin?

You don't need spoilers. He sent Vel to get the Ghormans down the path to rebellion that Cassian wouldn't sign off on. Vel wanted Cinta on the mission or she wouldn't do it. Luthen knows Vel is a true believer and wouldn't hesitate to do the mission if it could be pulled off.

We're assuming "the accident" Cinta was in was killing Tay in his car?

Riveting TV. Absolutely love it.

As with anything, you can find stuff to nitpick, but the tension and significance to almost every line of dialogue is incredible.

The Ghorman heist was doomed from the outset, but once Cassian left I thought for sure both Vel and Sinta were done for.

A little convenient, but still nice for Bix to get some satisfaction killing the torture doctor (Gorst?). Have to assume she isn’t surviving this series. She might just OD on the sleeping meds.

Episode 6 was top notch intensity.  You knew someone was going to die but I didn't think it would be that person

Literally came here just to say: I did NOT have THAT particular death on my Bingo card.

Also a little out of character that Luthen would assign something that loud in his own backyard. But obviously it's time to start making some bigger moves, especially if it means having a focused Bix and an unburdened Andor.

I thought Cassian was an idiot for making that Bix statement to Luthen and figured it would end up with her dead (still may) so that was a nice resolution. Luthen seeing the benefit of a Ghorman genocide and pulling strings that may or may not lead there is so terrible/brilliant.

Forest Whitaker is just outstanding in this. I love the Saw scenes.

We are just watching descend into further madness by the time R1 comes around. But then again, huffing gasoline is a good way to do that

So immersive. 3 hours just flies by. This has been a ride.

As with all Disney projects, the runtimes include credits and intro. It’s really like 2.5 hours per night. And it’s perfect

My theory is that Kleya is actually a young Princess Leia operating undercover.

This is terrible, this theory. By Rogue One/ANH Leia is a member of the Imperial Senate.

I assumed the same about "the accident", in that she crashed the transport to make it look like an accident instead of just outright assassinating Tay which would have drawn attention

Yeah.  The resemblance is there, but big nah

We probably wouldn't see her, if we did, until the last set of episodes (BBY 1), but I hope we don't see her at all.  We don't need to

Turn out the lights - Dedra

That cracks me up. And the “this is the best day of my life” from Syril got me to actually lol.

So good.

Your seeing the darker side of Luthen more and more. His methods are just as dark as the ISB…

Both sides are using Ghorman’s “resistance” as a spark. Both are pouring gasoline on it and nudging the Ghorman Front to act rashly.

And Saw as the anarchist/terrorist/pirate rebel cell is really intense. That was a really interesting moment while Wilamon was cracking the girl line code to have Saw being charismatic, drawing Wilamon into his vision of rebellion. And fuel huffing! Lol

Damn there was some tension and looming doom being laid down heavy this arc.

IMO, it would be a major disservice to even show one of the 3 currently alive Skywalkers in Andor, much less a "Surprise! One has been in the room with us this whole time!" This shit isn't about them, for once. It's about normal people finding the courage to lift up the boot that they've been living under (obvious CR messaging in Episode 4 is obvious).

Besides, Darth and Leia already got their cameos in Rogue One.

On the Leia thing, she’s not in hiding. At this point she’s a princess work with her father.

We’ve seen her about 3-1 BBY working with the Phoenix Squadron who was led by Bail Organa’s rebel cell

Gilroy has talked about not really wanting to write legacy characters into the story. That's why you won't see Darth Vader or the Emperor in Andor. He didn't really have a choice in Rogue One since he needed Vader to always be lurking and then of course the great pay off at the end.
