This relegation battle is something else. Especially when you consider the clubs involved.

Southampton gained a point Sunday, so...

5 points separates 12th place & 20th place.

5 points separates 1st & 2nd place.

Your welcome guys. Glad to give you a year or two of Jorgi and maybe 3 or 4 of Trossard. It must be annoying rooting for a team where you brag is that you can't spend much money.

Also we just like spreading our assists around... Got that is awful.

doesn't this describe the condition of most fans (myself included) who support a European club?

Probably not. As the vast majority of the fans in the world root for a team with cash.

Barca, Real Madrid, Bayern, Manure, Man City, Chelsea, PSG, Juventus, etc

whiny ass ETH crying about how they've only had one game with their full compliment of players, unlike arsenal who "always have their full selection every week". 🙄 yeah never mind that our starting striker just came back from three months out, that reiss nelson missed three months, smith rowe just returned from seven months out, we went and bought jorginho in january because partey was injured, and on and on. now today we lose saliba and tomiyasu in the first 10 mi i yes if the game. is that enough injuries for you now? jesus christ what a moronic thing for that guy to say.

UTV like always and we never get results vs Bournemouth, but if we have to lose a game and it happens to put one of Everton, Leicester,  or West Ham in relegation...well it wouldn't be the end of the world

Leeds really taking it to Wolves on the road. 3-0.

3-2 now and Wolves could easily have 3 or 4. As should Leeds as well. Leeds will be lucky to hang on to all 3 points.

That was a terrible VAR decision that went against Spurs.

I just don’t understand the rules of this game, I guess.

Villa in 11th sit four points away from sixth. Palace in 12 just four off the bottom.

Lot of clubs with a lot to play for at this point.

Conte sacked

https://www.espn.com/soccer/tottenham-hotspur-engtottenham/story/4906764/tottenham-boss-antonio-conte-leaves-club-by-mutual-consent

So that makes 10 managers (from 9 teams) sacked so far in the PL in 22/23

Scott Parker - Bournemouth

Thomas Tuchel - Chelsea

Bruno Lage - Wolves

Steven Gerrard - Aston Villa

Ralph Hasenhuttl - Southampton

Frank Lampard - Everton

Jesse Marsch - Leeds

Nathan Jones - Southampton

Patrick Vieira - Crystal Palace

Antonio Conte - Spurs

Interestingly, last season it was also 10 sacked managers from 9 clubs (Watford double dipping that time)

I believe it, but they've spent money that every manager wants. What makes it "the club"?

It's not always possible to explain.  It's like the aggies.  It doesn't matter how much they pay their players.  It doesn't matter what coach they hire.  It doesn't matter if they get a fancy new arena.  Some organizations are just losers.  Losing is just in their DNA.

Speaking of Spurs- their managing director of football just got a worldwide ban from FIFA (not just Italy) and the duration was extended too.

  Quote

At 7pm on Tuesday evening, Tottenham Hotspur released a video of managing director of football Fabio Paratici explaining the decision to part company with Antonio Conte and replace him with Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason for the last 10 games of the season. There was not much in it — Paratici said Spurs “will fight to achieve our target” — but it was a surprise to see the man banned from Italian football wheeled out as the public face of the club.

At 10.37am on Wednesday morning, FIFA confirmed Paratici’s 30-month ban from Italian football had been extended “to have worldwide effect”. Paratici was now banned from football everywhere — and his position at Tottenham rendered completely untenable — but he was still front and centre of Spurs’ official website.

Neither Tottenham nor Paratici had any idea that FIFA’s statement was coming. They finally broke their silence at 8pm on Wednesday evening, issuing a statement saying that they are “urgently seeking further clarification” from FIFA about the details of their extension of Paratici’s ban, and promising to “update on this matter in due course”.
