He's on first.

The first real big time rawk concert I ever saw:

Fabulous Thunderbirds

Stevie Ray Vaughn

The Who

at the Cotton Bowl in the 1989.  Not a bad way to kick off a big stadium show streak.

Also saw the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney that year.

Saw them on the same tour in high school. Scored a $10 bootleg shirt after. “The Who 25th Annivercity Tour”.

Best: dead not dead.

Zak: fired not fired.

They fired Zac again.

Zac to the Foo?  Dave worships Ringo.

what a shitshow

NME

It looks like The Who are re-hiring Zak Starkey after acr...

The Who appear to be bringing Zak Starkey back into the fold, just over a year after their acrimonious split.

He was only unemployed for one post.

They crushed it in Cincinnati in 1979.

My freshman year at Ohio State. I had friends that went to that concert and fortunately, none were injured.

Starkey is a great drummer, and he does as well as anyone could do filling in for the one-of-a-kind Moon.

I think the most indicative thing about The Who that set them apart from other early 70s British rock bands is that they were, after Pete took over songwriting, a pop band that evolved into a rock band, whereas almost every other British band was a blues band that became a rock band.

Pete, in the best way possible, is a brilliant pop songwriter
