How do we have a staff full of 89 mph arms. Southard is the only pitcher I’ve seen with dominant stuff. And the guys with 89 mph fastballs aren’t accurate and miss high constantly.

Pitching beats hitting in the CWS. Our arms are all far from domint.

One of the few good points made lately. We don't have a lot of big arms, which is puzzling.

We don’t. Most of our pitchers sit in the low 90s. Southard, LBJ, and Witt were our power pitchers this year. Even Tristan has elevated his velocity this year

Does anyone know if this year's pitching staff is worse than the 1998 team's? The one with a 6.36 ERA. @sidis

Comparing ERAs from 1998 of all years is remarkably dumb. That was the year that resulted in changing the game away from gorilla ball given how out of control it got.

also, Texas baseball didn’t exist from 1994-2001.

also, fuck that ump for that strike three call. Complete horseshit.

You wanna guess the type of arms we had when we were winning it all?

Velocity isn’t everything. 89-91 with command is better than 94 straight as an arrow with no idea where it’s going.

Oh I know. But those guys could throw strikes and control a game. Like I said. These guys with no stuff also have zero control. They get shelled.

I think that was our chance!!!! Ahhh can’t win em all, o well hopefully Football can get the athletic year off on the right foot. .

well that's deflating.  I thought it was low but too close to take

Not sure he could have got his bat on it, if he did swing. It was that bad of a pitch.

No. That was a ball twice on Daly. That’s a ball all fucking day at any level of baseball. That is complete bull shit

How about we just compare the rest of the DP era? Why don’t you do that and get back to us. Let us know what you find lol

Reckon got a call on Daly’s ball 4 and gave it back with Ivan. Love a team down 6 looking at essentially 3 strike 3’s in an inning with hodo too. Bunch of pussies today

It was like 3 inches above his ankles.  Nowhere close to being a strike.

That’s the point I just made to the lady. The batter before walked to first on that pitch.

We have played so far like we were just happy to be here.  No urgency, no real game plan at the plate for 2 straight games.  Just haven't been sharp mentally.  That will get you beat.
