Pretty much. If Spurs win Saturday they are at 73 points.

Arsenal (66 max 75). Any dropped points, the best they can do is get to 73, root for them to not win (ie, do what you normally do).

Because Chelsea (67 max 76) and ManU (64 max 73) play, one of them is dropping points. ManU wins, Spurs basically wrap up CL there.

Big weekend coming up with the UCL games on the line.

The Arsenal result turned out well for us. What's the magic number for CL now?

Just for the sake of all the numbers: 6 would guarantee a top 4 finish.

But for each team:

Chelsea: 7 but really 6 being +9 on GD vs them.

Arsenal: 6 maybe 5 but GD is only +7 here.

ManU: 4 but really 3, +17 on GD

What you want, Spurs win and either ManU wins or Leicester City wins, ideally both.

It just shows how much strong ball skill you need when you drift in the middle of the field. Rose has OK ball handling when going down the side, but push that 5 yards to the middle and the sideline becomes an opposing player and that's just too much to ask of Rose.

Spurs are dictating a lot of play today, but man the defense has some soft spots. Until Spurs have the lead, I am going to worry that West Ham is going to catch them on the counter and go ahead.

Tuesday will be a bloodbath. Same team minus Son? Fuck that. Levy needs to spend some money on depth.

Or don’t start Son and Lucas together up top so that our only attacking options on the bench are Janssen and Llorente. Maybe don’t play Tuesday’s starting LB at LM for 77 minutes. I’d also argue that the 4-4-2 diamond is stupid since we were only using it because it’s the one position (RM) Sissoko can play well.

The upside is that despite Spurs tripping on their dicks, Arsenal seems to like to do that just as much. Spurs now have their fate in their hands now and 3 points gets the UCL spot.

Arsenal also helped Spurs by getting their asses handed to them 3-0. The GD that worried me before has become a little less of an issue, meaning 2 draws get things done too (though this is a bit more complicated if ManU wins).

Updated with today's results:

Chelsea: 5
Arsenal: 3
ManU: 2

They just need 1 more win.

Posted as I was scrolling through looking for the numbers!

Hopefully, we can beat the Cherries, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t make it come down to the last Sunday.

Son should be fresh. Just need to get out of Tuesday in one piece. Maybe Sissoko will be ready?
