Everytime I see something about him i think it is news he is transferring. Might be good news if the fight is true.
I really wanted him to beast out, but that was mostly because I knew Sweat and Murphy would be gone this season. If he hasn't progressed enough to see significant snaps, not to mention recorded stats through the first 4 games, it's time for Sark to call him in the office after the season.

Sark- "Sydir, how do you think your season went this past year?"

Sydir- "well coach, you know..." *Sark hits button marked "portal" that opens a trap door under the guest chair*

Pretty sure a fight involves at least 2 people. Maybe wait for more details before declaring him kicked off the team, if they ever come out.

Understandable. The team nutritionist stole his twinkie.

You'd think that if a guy who's 6'6" and a biscuit under 400 pounds got into a fight in front of 100k+ people that more folks would have noticed.

Judging from the steady flow of people coming out starting at 8min in the 4th I would say there was more like 75k.

This is going to be one of those grim “where are they now” stories when they check in on him in 10 years at his mom’s house in New Jersey.

They’ll be interviewing him while he’s trapped inside a gravy-encrusted concrete chair as he admits that he spent the majority of his 6 figure NIL from Texas on the local chinese buffet and an industrial grade ice cream maker.

he was walked off the field by an equipment guy (I think), similar to when someone gets ejected for targeting (or whatever).

Yee it’s good news that guy who cannot get himself into shape is also turning out to be a team cancer. Hip hip hooray!

— It looked like Texas redshirt freshman DT Sydir Mitchell got into a heated argument with a teammate in the second half before being escorted from the field back to the locker room.

A source close to the situation said, "Sydir is having a hard time at Texas. It's been very rough for him."

Mitchell (6-6, 350)  has played 20 snaps this season after having to get his weight down from 372 pounds in the spring. He didn't play against ULM before being escorted from the field.

He’ll be in Scooba next year

He seems like someone Sonny Dykes takes at TCU and starts him for the half the season before he finally realizes Mitchell just sucks at football.

He looked like absolute trash in the UTSA game. Easily redirected and sucking wind. Really pitiful shit.

He’s actually had some good snaps this year, but far from dominant and runs out of gas too quickly. Tough to watch when he and Bledsoe are out there at the same time.

They can hang out in the locker room together during games

Bobby/Gerry mentioned that Jaray can hopefully take the next step next season. He was a project, and I can see Baker/Nansen getting him ready.

If Vernon Broughton can take the next step after looking like shit for 4-5 years, Bledsoe has a chance to do the same, imo.

If you can’t get motivated to get in shape and give a shit after seeing Sweat/Murphy draft placement and the amount of press you’d get at UT this year with team poised to make deep playoff run then you will never get motivated.

Pack Sydir’s shit and send him home.

For those that also don't want to waste a minute of their life, Sydir was asked to go in late in the game, he refused and was pissed because he was pissed he hadn't been put in earlier, and he had to be "talked" into common sense.

Alfred Collins gave a non-answer "he's good" when asked about him.

God the pivot to video sucks.

I didn't think about summarizing it, thank you for doing that. I'll try to remember to do that in the future.

Bobby asked Gerry about this in Talking Ball tonight. Gerry was stone faced and just said “we won’t see him for a while” and nothing more. You could tell he has full details and I’m guessing from his reaction Mr Mitchell is not part of the program right now.
