Think Gibson entered the majors before 1960.

Palmer was released by Baltimore in 1984.

He thought about playing for another team, but retired instead.

I bet that didn't happen many times to Hall of Famers playing for one team.

He knew he could make good coin modeling underwear and doing color commentary -- just not at the same time. 

But he missed the game, which is one of the reasons he tried a comeback in '91.
