Am I the only one who watches old TV shows and movies and as soon as a dog appears, thinks, "That dog is dead, now"?

It's Lassie, Come Home. Don't even go down the road that there's any connection to aggy because there isn't. But that's the best movie dog ever. Unless you're talking about REAL dogs and then, without a doubt, it's Togo.

A list that long without “Shithead” is invalidated.

No Benji? I don't know about you motherfuckers. Real name Higgins, he was also Dog on Petticoat Junction. He got to swim in the watertower with the Bradley girls. Nice.

Marley from Marley and Me holds a soft spot as well.  That movie came out a couple months after we put down our 14 year old lab, which was our first lab.  Damn, that was a tough movie to watch.

was surprised it took that long.  after Toto, Old Yeller and Lassie probably the 4th most famous dog in film.

It was and still is. Gutting ending. Initially I feared the day we'd need to do it for Crosby, then we did a year and a half ago, and now in reflection. Rough

I had a yellow lab growing up that we had to put down.  The end of Marley and Me is still so hard to watch.
