I don't follow the team super closely, but Driussi's drop in form has been pretty remarkable.  He's not that old.  Maybe this is just who he is and 2022 was the outlier.

I think 2022 was an outlier of sorts for sure, although he should be capable of better numbers than he had in 2023 and 2024.  Without the right complementary players, strong wingers and a good striker, Driussi was limited.  Defenses often double teamed Driussi because the remaining players could not consistently mount a dangerous attack without his contribution.

I would love to see Driussi play a season with Bukari and Vazquez, but the rumors suggest that he is leaving.  Any one player is replaceable, if that's what the front office wants to do.  A lessor replacement for Driussi will be problematic in my opinion since so much of the offense relies upon playmaking from that position.

PS- Kind of shitty if his wife not to move to México 🇲🇽 to be there with her husband unless she has some super high paying job that is supporting the family.

Yeah, she looks like she would only go to Cancun/ Playa del Carmen/ Tulum or over to Cabo.

Monterrey would be a “no go” for her, but I bet that she’s fine with moving to the new Austin.

Trying to get more enthusiasm for the wife for keeping the new away venue streak going. So far we've hit one a year with

2022: Houston

2023: Kansas City (bro trip, wife didn't attend)

2024: Dallas

Options are 6/7 in Colorado, 6/28 in Seattle, or 7/26 in DC. We were married at Olympic National Park, so Seattle has some sentimental value. She wants to hit DC, but damn Colorado is just so easy and nice in June.

I am going to approach the wife with going to an away game this year.  I don't see going to Houston or Frisco and probably not any of the Canada games as my passport is expired.

Thinking about 5/31 San Diego, 6/7 Colorado, 6/28 Seattle, or 10/18 San Jose.

Shit I forgot about Montreal on 8/23. My wife is currently a teacher looking to leave the profession. If she does leave that would be absolutely perfect.

Are we all good with shitting on Driussi now?
Because my wife is ready for y’all to get on board with where she’s been for 2+ seasons. She LOATHES Driussi - shitty attitude, erratic play, selfish, terrible captain.
We’re definitely excited about these offseason moves. Needed a shakeup.

To your point - I'm fine with Driussi leaving so long as Rodo has an acceptable replacement.  If somehow Rodo convinced River to pay $10m for Driussi, I'm ecstatic.

Driussi really dropped once the club transferred Diego and again when the club cut ties with Rigoni.  The former wasn't surprising since Diego was a key player in our offense and he wasn't immediately replaced.  The later, on the other hand, was just Driussi pouting about losing his Argentinian buddy.

This new team is in large part Rodo's creation.  A few of the players are from the old days, but the big time players are all new.  It's probably best that Rodo and Nico work with a team that doesn't have much by the way of baggage from the past.

Estoy Listo!

Depending on your schedule, you could catch a couple of group stage matches in the Club World Cup if you visited Seattle - last two are Sounders v PSG on 6/23 and 6/25 Inter v River Plate (and Driuzzi, lol). There are a few things to do locally between games, I think....
