You have to paste the link it gives you from the X/twitter app share button into a browser, then after it opens it with the Twitter URL instead of X URL, copy the twitter URL out of the browser address bar, then paste THAT url into surly.

Thanks Elon.

Is that East Avenue before it was I35, looking northbound from what is basically now Riverside drive?

I thought the same but I also don’t know for sure.

Took these a few years ago but was going through some old photos the other day. Bought a fixer-upper near Mt Bonnell with an overgrown landscape. I had the tree service take out a huge magnolia tree and a significant trimming for the Live Oaks. I had no idea what the result would be until we neared the end. Results of the final two cuts:

Go cut down a few of your neighbor’s trees in the middle of the night and add a mil and a half to your asking price!

Austin 3 years before Town Lake existed.

Austin Skyline (closer view) from south of the Colorado River on I-35, 1957

I took this pic in the summer of 1959. Was standing by the Elmhurst Drive intersection with the frontage road.
RIP Cousin Joanne.

East Avenue stretched from about 5th Street up to 19th (MLK).
I-35 was completed through that section in the early 1960s, IIRC.
