Surprised we are #26 in both polls.  Top 3 loss team.

Well, SEC teams who go on the road to visit a top 10 team, only to lose by a TD, usually move up in ranking.

If you accept for argument’s sake that OSU was the 11th best team of the country as of yesterday - I don’t at all buy that given their injury situation, but we’re talking about the poll - then #20 going on the road and losing the game on the last possession shouldn’t really hurt #20. That pretty much vibes with where you had both teams ranked, right? Why does South Carolina beating aggy or any other game impact that? In that sense, it’s dumb that Texas is unranked.

Note I’m not necessarily arguing that Texas should be ranked. I think you can list the teams from about 5 or 6 to 30 in pretty much any order and be accurate on a given week. It’s just one of those years.

Yeah, but given the point gap between us and South Carolina, I don't see us creeping back into the top 25 after the off week (not that it matters). It'll come down to the KSU game.

The trend for us this year has been: two weeks unranked, two weeks ranked, two weeks unranked, two weeks ranked, and now back to unranked. So if that trend continues, it could mean we will beat KSU!

I like that trend but if we keep blowing up the second half we will have two more losses both to the purple teams. Because if QE struggles I doubt Sark will look up from his playbook to see what’s happening on the field when the third quarter starts trending down for us.

I like purple teams.

Well, a purple team.

And Texas would rotohammer our skulls.

I'd probably pick the home team in that one.

I REALLY want Clemson to lose.  What a tragedy if they sneak into the playoffs undefeated out of a trash ACC.

This Saturday at Notre Dame might be best shot to see Clemson lose before a possible ACC Championship game.

If Clemson goes undefeated, they are likely in the playoffs, even though they are not deserving of a Top 4 ranking.

If it’s on the road we could lose to any team ranked 27-75.

After leading by 17 points halfway through the third quarter.

My little CFP predictor has it OSU, Tenn, UGA, Michigan in that order.

It would not be shocking at all to see Tenn #1.

TCU checks in at 6, KSU 10, Texas at 25.

I wonder how much CBS paid to get Tennessee ranked #2 so they can have a top two matchup vs. Georgia this weekend

It’s not far-fetched for them to be ranked #2 or even #1.

IMO Tennessee will and should be #1.  I think UGA 2, but Ohio State there and UGA 3 would  not surprise me.  I'm thinking Clemson 4.  TCU is likely a spot or two higher than they are in the AP.  I'll hang up and listen.

Texas 24...and 4 Big 12 teams in the rankings.  TCU 7th...same as AP...surprising.

Horseshit that 2 loss LSU is #10.  And SC has NO signature win except for a squeaker they BARELY pulled off on the road at a decent, not great, Oregon St team.  Fuck all that.

Panel seemed surprised by this as well.  Previously they said KSU was the highest ranked 2 loss team.

They probably ranked Texas because they wanted another ranked win for Alabama to justify putting them ahead of undefeated TCU at #6.
