You laugh, but it's gonna become the Costanza defense like after he banged the Portuguese maid, "Mathematically Jerry, I had to do it."

"To my disappointed constituents and fellow party members, I can only say this...as a hardliner on the immorality of homosexuality, I had to blow those men!  I remain fiscally conservative as I did not borrow any money to pay for their services.  And abortion is murder!"

It's gotten to the point where if you're a far right wing politician, you're almost guaranteed to be a closeted homosexual.

I hope all our resident right wingers can eventually come out and live happy lives.

Isn’t that why Peter Theil is so right wing? Isn’t he gay and can’t admit it?

Peter Thiel is married to a man.  I think he can admit it.

He's a right wing VC asshole because his net worth is $4.3 billion and he wants to keep his money.  It's that simple.

And I post hundreds of sexy girl photos and claim a huge number of sexual encounters to even further hide my gay thoughts.

I think it's interesting that the persecutors who say sexual orientation is a choice are speaking from personal experience. They fight down their own sexuality and see themselves making a choice therefore all people must have strong homosexual urgings that they choose, with the help of a fag-hating God, to quash.

Next thing you know, they walked into a porn house thinking it was a church and stumbled into a little room where a penis accidentally flopped into their mouths. Million to one shot, Jerry. Million to one.

I don’t think I’d enjoy the sensation of having a penis in my mouth, for one thing. I’ve seen Ron Jeremy do it and it didn’t look all that comfortable. And I’d be approaching it from the wrong angle. You need some friction on the frenulum and someone else’s tongue is the best way to achieve that. I’d say my teeth won’t cut it but, maybe they would. Either way that’s just not going to work.

And I wouldn’t swallow. I’ve never even tasted my semen. Not that I think that would make me gay or anything. I’ve just never had the curiosity to try it. I don’t know if that makes me a hypocrite because I’d prefer a woman to swallow and enjoy it. I’d prefer it if she’d swish her mouth out with a beverage before I kiss her again. I’d do the same for her if she wanted me to but it seems more natural for women to taste themselves. I think they taste good but I admit I have no basis for comparison.

Is that weird?

We don't care for the term "Cis", okay?

this whole thread goes back to that old bit about would you suck a dick for $100?  no.  $1000?  no.  $10,000?  no.  $100,000?  no.  $1,000,000?  ahhhhhh......no.  $10,000,000?  Yeah, okay.

You see, the sexuality spectrum is not binary.....it's just short on capital.

Nobody is 100% anything---not race, not gender, not sexuality, etc.  There's no such thing as "left-handed" or "right-handed"...you just use one hand more frequently for certain tasks.  Unless you only have the one hand, in which case I am sorry for your loss.

For a long time, I've been leaning further and further towards believing that all human traits and behavior are spectrums along which we can move. We all just start in different places. The closer you are to one end or the other, the more difficult is to move on the spectrum.

Most people don't want to believe they could move to another place on any given spectrum. Let's say propensity to needless violence. On one end, you have the most altruistic and generous; maybe some Buddhist monks, nuns, or others of similar bent are at one end. On the other? Jeffrey Dahmer, Ted Bundy, cruel concentration camp guards.

We don't want to believe we could be viciously cruel. We don't want to believe that we actually could be more generous and altruistic. The former are devils and unlike us. The latter are saints whose behavior we could never match because they are so unlike us. It makes things simple and easy for the mind.

The sexuality spectrum is maybe the most obvious. I'm way over on the heterosexual side; TraumaBabe may be way over on the other. We're not likely to move, but it could happen. Circumstances, opportunities, and a rush of passion can change anyone.

Transexuals don't really have a spectrum, I don't think. Those troubled souls seem to be stuck in a binary world physically. They're in hell when it comes to public opinion. It's another infuriating aspect of the hate engine magnifying the discomfort many have when considering a transexual's disposition and choices.

Too many of us can't mind our own damn business.

Tragically, I'm not a gold star gay and have had the displeasure of sex with a cisgender male penis.

There is a wide spectrum of transgender experience. Binary trans people, non-binary, genderfluid, agender, and many more. But they all have a lot of negative externalities because, like you said, people can't mind their own business.

A current law that conservative shitheads are trying to implement (I forget if it's Texas or not, but really doesn't matter) essentially outlaws trans people performing in any regard as themselves in public with the way the statute is written. Because if little Johnny (who knows deep down inside she is actually little Joanna) sees a trans person who isn't the butt of the joke or who isn't a sexual object for hypocritical straight dudes, she might actually think a fulfilling life is possible and start to transition when she is able to. The horror of a person actualizing themselves in a way "they" don't understand and fear.

Let’s be really clear, I’m not a troubled soul anymore than you are. And being trans does not mean misery fait accompli. I’ve tried to give you guys  another image of what it’s like to be trans, it’s as normal as waking up making coffee, taking your kids to school and going to work and as spectacular as anything you could come up with for your life.  Not upset with your response it was pretty good but just want to make sure it’s known trans people can be well adjusted and live a fantastic life too.

I think he meant "troubled" as in by society rather than internally troubled.

I'm glad to read that, troph. I don't mean to pretend to know what it's like to walk in your shoes.

I suppose my assumption is based on the stories of troubled trans and the fact that they're being roundly vilified by the hate engine. Nothing would please me more than being way off.

Thanks for the response. I hadn't known of your orientation prior to this post.

The hate engine is real. You are not wrong there are many stories of our people being beaten down literally and figuratively. Stereotypes though have unintended consequences at times so I was only trying to share that now, in these times, our stories are as varied as any other group of humans. It’s also the case that I loathe victim narratives when they might implicitly or explicitly apply to me. No victim here.

I feel comfortable speaking for the Surly alphabet mafia that you have permission to use queer without putting it in quotes.

Well, the favored and disfavored terms change pretty rapidly.  I have older queer friends that use the term freely, but you kind of never know anymore.

22, but the rest is on point. And just last year he was found to be phoning in neighborhood bomb threats, but he did no time for that and the record was sealed. So probably he has rich parents.

Right-wingers upset.  Unfortunately I can see one of these things spiral out of control, because they weren’t expecting non-right-wingers to be armed.

These fuckwads are mocking them because they are gay and not nearly as tough or real as their own gun nuts who pop up everywhere. I be happy if one of those gave his rifle to a friend and then kicked the guy's ass.

I also suspect there is an ironic element to the armed persons guarding the children's event. An irony totally lost on the right.

Worse, of course, are the armed Nazis showing up looking for a fight. And it becomes increasingly unnewsworthy.

Solid segment about the whole CO shooting here, but the part with Mallory McMorrow (every time I hear her speak, I am more impressed) is especially powerful.  There has to be some consequence for the hatemongers or this just isn't going to stop.
