The always gong ho Justin Wells states something similar in a recent national On3 podcast. He expects Pettijohn to visit aggy, but mom won’t be there.

OTF reported yesterday that Pettijohn's mother made it to the aggy visit. Stupid Justin Wells.

Based on his X profile, he’s apparently the #4 ranked kicker in Chile.

Is this the kid Gerry was talking about this week about being a high end punting prospect or someone different?

He was an offseason outside consultant with the Buccaneers for the NFL Draft in 2009 and 2010 while also serving as the coordinator of player personnel and assistant director of football operations at Northwestern.

Before his most recent stint at Northwestern, Rees was a veteran of 16 years in the NFL, where he served as a scout for the Kansas City Chiefs (1994-97), the Director of College Scouting for the Chicago Bears (1997-2001), the Director of College Scouting (2001-03) and the Director of Player Personnel (2003-04) for the San Francisco 49ers, the Director of Player Personnel/College Scouting for the Cleveland Browns (2004-08) and a Pro and College Scout for the Chiefs (2008-09).

They are really relying on having a great season to close these deals.

They could be 2-2 going into the Arkansas game with losses to ND and Florida (on the road and Aggie is terrible on the road for some reason) and wins over McNeese State and Bowling Green.

They talk about Arkansas being difficult for us but seem to think it will be easy for them. Last year they touted Bobby Petrino as a dangerous OC. I have no idea about the Arkansas talent level (I suspect it's dismal) but they do get up to play Texas teams and go full jihad when they play us.

Arkansas could be a huge game for them if they stumble in at 2-2. They would already be stinking of death. Being .500 would already be raising doubts. Being .400 with wins over McNeese St and BGreen would overwhelm the Negative Recruiting thread.

If they beat Florida and Arkansas (neither would be prestigious) and are sitting at 4-1, they could be in good shape, I think. I just don't see it, but I'm a terrible prognosticator.

I guess I'm in a musing mood since the season is getting close. The internet is a sweet place when we're doing well and they're struggling to get to their 8 win mark.

The ND game is very interesting because both teams are lead by brittle QBs that are decent when not on the sidelines. I think ND will control the LOS on both sides of the ball and pull away late. Elko changing the aggy road culture will be a thing to watch, considering the coach on the hottest seat in the SEC is Napier. Will the Texas kid be the starter by this game?

Man, that Holmon Wiggins is a fucking visionary. He likes his WRs to be fast and quick? Why hasn't anyone else thought of that?

Also love that Lockett and Terry look to be headed "elsewhere". Where would that be, Jason?

Lockett and Terry aren't wiry enough to play for Holmon Wiggins.

That's been a bust since 2021. All the parrots on Texags chattered about it constantly in the lead up. No more. Maybe Mr. Personality will recharge it.

I gag a little bit thinking of that big aluminum pan with lots of chicken floating in butter like it was a separate pool party. Literally. Ugh.

I just would like a bit of clarification. Does aggie actually hold a recruiting party at an apartment pool? Am I understanding that correctly or is it just a pool party at an apartment pool. Admitting my ignorance here that I could typically deduce the reality of the situation, but with aggie what would normally be insane is absolutely in play.
